Hello everyone,

When you get an RQ, does it say in your ecase? I moved and I'm afraid I would get something from CIC in my old mail and without it being updated in my ecase I would never know!

Not in my case. Still I don't see any indication on RQ on e-cas. I recommend you officially change your address asap and talk to a CIC agent asking about any recent communication by mail.

Maybe you can consider Canada Post's mail forwarding service.

Not sure if this would work though, you'd have to investigate more.

I called CIC this morning to see if my file has been transferred to the local office and the agent said that it still hasnt been transferred and is currently waiting on background checks. I'm not sure what background checks they do at Sydney before transferring the file to the local office.

I hope so too. I will call them with in a month to know the receipt of my papers and current status. BTW, do we fall into non-routine or still we are considered as routine applicants?

Hi jess57- Thanks for sharing your timeline. You may have noticed that May applicants are already getting test dates.

Anyway, I will include you in the Timeline table. Good luck to you for rest of the processing.

Just called the CIC, and my file was transferred to the local office (Montreal) :D

BTW, I called to let them know that I will be travelling for 3 weeks for Christmas. I know this is a risk, but not concerned guys.

The weird thing is that the CIC agent said that my file was transferred on the 10th of Sep 2013. But that's the date my file is in process. I didn't pay attention until I hung up. I was like AAAAAHHHHHHH!

I am looking at the table and I see that my processing time is far away from most of the applicants. ALso I know for a fact that the dates on the ecas are not accurate...so dunno. All I can say is my file was transferred but the date is not accurate in my opinion.

;D

Vancouver. And thx for reminding.
I am planning to make a call today or tmr. Since last time I was on hold for extremely long and the call center was extremely impatient. Hope it won' t happen again.

lol, I doubt it Chandu, for sure, I will receive RQ because I have travelled so many times in the last 4 years outside of Canada. I however with my initial application submitted my T4, NOA, CBSA report and my offer letter. My local office is Kitchener, ON although it now looks like they are transferring files to CIC offices based on workload?
