Unfortunately this is just the way it works. We sent our application in at the same time and received delivery notification within a week. It wasn't until the end of July that we heard anything from CIC. You should be hearing from them any day now.

you guys are really lucky... it is our prayer to hear from them soon, because this is really draining us slowly. Its really heard to be away from de one you love. thanks and will keep you guys updated once i hear from them

I just saw yours was received April 30, did you receive your approval letter yet? I guess hw long we have to wait to be relieve frm this checking email every seconds. And that means there are still May Applicant who still haven't received their approval yet

I finally sent them a mail to withdraw my application,I feel better that way. I don't wanna keep waiting only to wake up one morning and find my application by my door step.

Because the waiting is killing me and I feel I'm better off applying again. I was told if your application stays under review for so long ,that means something is wrong with your application and they might return your entire package to you. I will appreciate it if they returned my package a month ago not after 9 months under review.

Actually, no. It doesn't always mean something is wrong with it. And they'd never send it back after 9 months... it'd be over with most likely by then. Sorry you decided that you couldn't wait longer, I hope you have better luck next time. Though, keep in mind there are months of waiting no matter when you apply.

Nothing today. I phoned again and got another agent with a very sweet voice. She asked if I had received the inquiry via email sent August 3rd. I told her that's what the agent yesterday asked me also, but then she put me on hold and confirmed there was no email, as did today's agent after I told her what the last one did. They are mis-reading something in my file. She said it's taking a while because I'm sponsoring a lot of people. I said no, only one.. the kids are on the application but not being sponsored. THEN she said the current time of the application is 3 month since August 16th? I don't know what she was talking about.. I always get the French agents. She told me it should be another 3 months but that there was nothing wrong with my application. Then I asked to speak to her supervisor and she put me on a call list for their customer service department. So their customer service department will call me back next week. These are the same people my MP will contact, she told me, but that him phoning might hold more weight. She wrote my complaint down as "concerned with application processing time"

This is unbelievable! hope they are not missing ppl file together. just keep praying, it seems like it will be resolved soon. My is 109 days now, and still nothing. called, was told they don't have the file yet; so is a question of if the file hasn't been opened yet.
