Nothing today. I phoned again and got another agent with a very sweet voice. She asked if I had received the inquiry via email sent August 3rd. I told her that's what the agent yesterday asked me also, but then she put me on hold and confirmed there was no email, as did today's agent after I told her what the last one did. They are mis-reading something in my file. She said it's taking a while because I'm sponsoring a lot of people. I said no, only one.. the kids are on the application but not being sponsored. THEN she said the current time of the application is 3 month since August 16th? I don't know what she was talking about.. I always get the French agents. She told me it should be another 3 months :o but that there was nothing wrong with my application. Then I asked to speak to her supervisor and she put me on a call list for their customer service department. So their customer service department will call me back next week. These are the same people my MP will contact, she told me, but that him phoning might hold more weight. She wrote my complaint down as "concerned with application processing time"

Im just wondering. Maybe some of us ended up with the same Immigration officer? Its been 3months and still no approval. Is it ok if i ask where in canada you were applying? Were in alberta.

To update the spreadsheet, my sponsorship approval was August 26th. don't know about aor, so maybe they skipped that? thanks for keeping the spreadsheet, it helps to keep us all a little saner during this trying time.....

Maybe. Because for me it took 3.5 months to open the package and even make the claim it was missing documents (which it wasn't)... most people who get returned packages get them the same month they send it. Clearly we're getting a lazy bum.

I'm in BC. I guess if I'm over 4 months and no approval then by logic you should have another month left. But probably it won't work that way!

Oh and I forgot to add.... I'm Ontario.

Thank you!! Our file was received on MAy 18, 2012 and we received both AOR and sponsor approval on teh same day on Aug 21, 2012.

Hey everyone,
I received our PPR today but I cant send in the passport right away. I composed the following message to send to ND.
Please share your thoughts on it and if you think its appropriate to mail this msg to them.

This is in reference to the attached email that we received from CIC regarding passport

request and other 2 documents ( PRPF fee and police clearance).
I have already paid the landing fees as well as submitted my police clearance with the

application.

I am currently residing and working outside India(i.e. Saudi Arabia) as indicated in my

application. The Saudi laws do not allow residents to keep passports in their

possession. They are usually held with the sponsor(company). As New Delhi's processing

time is 9 months,it would be difficult for me to get a hold of the passport for such a

long period of time.
Also, if a situation came up it would be diffcult for me to travel without my passport.

Given the above circumstances, is it possible that New Delhi CIC requests the passport

at a later stage when my file processing is almost complete?

Please let me know and advise me for the above matter.

besykobuset-- hang in there...cic is so random..we did not expect ppr at this point in time, so it was a pleasant surprise...so u never know...good news might be around the corner

Hi All!

I have been following this forum as a guest for a few weeks to see how the process for others was going.
Today I've decided to join because I'm feeling a bit frustrated with processing times. Sigh!
Our application was received on May 1... and we wait. We went through a lawyer with our application to ensure it was immaculate and every piece of paperwork was included.
I checked the CIC site today and it says 66 days to process app's. How is it that end of June applications are being processed and many of us haven't heard anything?

Patience, I know. I am truly excited for those of you who have answers! For the rest of us, we aren't alone!

My husband has applied from Mexico and I live in Alberta.
Please add us to the spread sheet :)
