I'm hoping to submit my hubby's application on Monday. His fingerprints expired today and we werent able to get it in time - so Im submitting with expired prints while we wait for the new ones..

we are supposed to send it tomorrow until i found out that i missed one thing that will surely be the reason of the delays or most case scenario they will send it back to us. How stupid i am for forgetting to get the police clearance here in canada where in fact i went there 2 times for finger printing for my hongkong and philippines police clearances...i have to wait for 2 weeks before i get it! grrrrrrrr

We met online in 2007 and got married in July of last year. I am a Canadian citizen.
I was wondering if anyone knows what my chances are of getting approved to sponsor with a criminal record?
One of my charges were withdrawn and I was convicted on the other.
The past few months have been very stressful and emotional. Any insight or support is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi it depends on the crime. If it was a sexual assault or a physical abuse charge against a family member then its serious. Or if you commited a crime that could have had a maximum sentence of 10 years or more. Any of these reasons could cause you to be rejected. I hope this helped a bit.

Thank you. I got a call from a lawyer this morning and he said the same. fortunately My record will not affect my sponsoring my husband.

Can anyone recommend a good immigration lawyer in Toronto? Who is not too expensive.

Sent the application in 2 days ago, Never been more exited. Now the waiting game begins.
praying everything is filled out perfect, we won't get it sent back or no interview.
this is going to be the longest wait ever, but worth it in the end

How long have you been waiting for the option c printout? That's the only thing we're waiting for before we can send our application.

Should take approximately 2 weeks. I got mine within 10 days
