Is there a trick to caling? I have called at least 30 times and always get the recording that the agents are busy. It has gotten to where I put it on speaker phone and know when to push 1, 2 , 1 to avoid most of the pre-recorded message. Here I am waiting just for an AOR after over three months......

best time to call is Thursday and Friday mornings right away at 8:00am seems to be the least busy......

I have been approved for sponsorship and she was able to give me my client id number. What a relief, I was so worried that they had lost my application. The thought of re-submitting it was nightmare material. Thank you to all for encouraging me to call, I don't have the date the sponsorship was approved yet, but I will give updates for the spreadsheet. Now on for more waiting......thanks again this is a great forum with so much support and information 8)

Congrats now you can enjoy your weekend and not think about your file for a while!

Well I now know why they haven't said anything to be despite saying they hadn't even opened my package...

This letter came with our entire application back: http://i47.tinypic.com/11sp72o.jpg

Over 3 months wasted... I feel like I could cry. I don't want to wait another 2-3.

I have to wait on my mother-in-law to forward us the package (our permanent address is where it went) and us to resend it, then start the whole waiting game as September applicants. Does this mean all my 'proof' is outdated?

Also... I highly doubt my forms are old, the stupid immigration officer apparently doesn't know how to open the envelope the forms were in since I'm apparently missing all the forms needed for a sponsor stage. IDIOTS. I put a freaking key guide on the front of the envelope saying they were in there! I feel sick.

Is this seriously going to make my process ANOTHER 2-3 months later? This is a 5-6 month delay!!

I am truly sorry to hear that. At least the processing time gets shorter these days. Medical seems still good but your/applicant will need to get new PCC again. I did send my application without PCCs (noted in the cover letter) while I was waiting for them to come and had no problem for stage 1 process. But I read somewhere in the forum, this may depend on VO.

Be strong! You are doing this for your loved one! I am sending you my prayers!

hey guys..its been 22 days since my file has transferred, and no word yet...do you think my visa office received the file by now?...and is it being worked on, or sitting there gathering dust? What you all think?

My visa office took over a month (35 work days) to send me an AOR. I dont know how your office works, but 22 days arent much yet, give it a bit more time. Dont think they lost it.

Yeah, I have no file numbers... they didn't document in the slightest that I did this. My sponsor called house of commons and they took the complaint and they told us to take our package and forms to the riding we are from and they would/could help us get it submitted again and make sure it's processed.

Also, what's PCC again?

Some VOs send AOR but others don't. I did not receive AOR but I received a response to my inquiry. So I know it is somewhere in the VO. I assume currently it is gathering dust but hopefully soon they will open my package.

Im so sorry for you kiri :-(!!!!! I hope somehow theres a solution for it that you dont have to wait more, but get all together fast again and send it either way to loose as less time as possible.

Congrats to peggyfran!!!!

Police check certificate (or something like that). In short, police record from countries you/applicant have lived for 6 months since you were 18. They have to be received by CIC within 90 days (or 3 months) from the date of issue.

Ahh, my FBI check from America. I will pitch a fit if they try and make me do that after it was their fault.
