Maybe thats why there hasn't been any movement on our application either. I believe my wife's medical expires in February as well. On my ECAS account it states that they have received her medical. Whats the point of that if they require another one?

Luckily the CFO thing she took care of after she changed her passport to her married name.

Our medical expired in June 2012. It took us way too long to get the application package done, and you can't do another medical until requested so we just had to send that one in.

My eCas was updated today, it now says decision made. I hope my COPR is in the mailbox.

Just checked today also and finally in process! So nice to see after saying it was received since june 4! I hope everyone else gets good news this week!

It's okay, I'm just rather sensitive to it considering I just lost 8 freaking months, y'know? :| And I've figured out what DM is .. yeah, wont' see that for awhile now. lol No worries.

If you know it has expired and they won't continue to process your application why can't you just send in an updated medical? Seems ridiculous to wait for a request you know will come to complete the application.

That does seem ridiculous. Then again, it's CIC we're dealing with and it's no shocker!

Yeah it seems ridiculous. You can't expect MNL or the doctors there to be able to think outside the box.. they are following the rule book. But nobody ever said they stop processing your application. They only need the medical in order to issue the final visa. The rest of the evaluating and processing could be underway. That's why I think they wait until they are ready to issue a visa to ask for it. Some people have interviews that go well and the last thing they are asked to to do is re-medical. It's just really inconvenient that it takes an extra 3 months with the request and then for them to receive and process the paperwork. How much would it really cost CEM to hire more people at a pay grade of probably $300 a month.

Hello Everyone! I should have known this way back! I submitted my sponsorsorship application to Mississauga.
They received ot May 15 ,2012. I hot an email on Sept 10,2012 that i'm eligible to sponsor abd that his application for Permanent resident is forwarded to Canadian visa offixe in Manila.
It's been 4 months since I got that email but still the same status when I checked online! It only says decision made (for me thesponsor) and application received (for my husband)
Drives me crazy because every people I know, who sponsored their husbands same time as me are all here. Makes me wonder if he's papers are really in manila. It sucks becuse I cant ask about it because i'm still "within the processing time." I hope I'm not alone in this kind of situation.
