Hi Gang,

So my spouse (principal applicant) in India got an email today requesting documentation (1. a copy of PCC 2. receipt of landing fee) both of which were included in the application submission.

"
In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:
- Proof of Payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid.
-Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted"

Two questions:
1. Should I be sending in a copy of the proof of payment and a copy of PCC even though its already submitted?
2. If yes to # 1, should both of the items go to the Mississauga office or the indian office which generated the email?

Thanks.

If you received AOR and SA. I would assume that you need to send the documents to your VO. I found a note on my SA email stating that if further documents need, it should be sent to VO.

For #1 I would just double check to make sure that the Right of Permanent Residence fee was actually paid because when you initally pay your fees, this is the optional one for $490.

For #2 it does say "if not already submitted" and so if you've already submitted it then it shouldn't be a problem.

What I would do... I would scan a copy of the proof of payment, and if you have one a copy of the PCC that you already sent them. Then I would reply to the e-mail that they sent you, with those attachments. Just say in the e-mail that the proof of payment and the PCC were already included with your application, here are scanned copies for reference and if you need hard copies sent please notify.

And yes, previous poster is correct. The New Delhi office asked for it, then that is where you send any hard copies.

Hello. I will add you when I get to work today. I think normally 30 days is ok, we did just get off of Easter weekend so if you don't hear anything this week you should give them a call.

Okie dokie I will add you when I get to work in about an hour.

Thanks. Judging by the CIC website CPC - M are now processing applications received 18th March, mine was received 21st March so hopefully not too much longer!

Thanks guys. Yes, I paid the full amount. I got advised via consultant that I post the letter to the Indian VO office so I guess I'll just post the copies there. I'm a bit weary of how correspondence is managed via email unless folks here have had success with that method.

Here's the thread I found awhile back about calling them.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/contacting-cic-call-centre-from-abroad-t63158.0.html

As it says, call: 1 613 944 4000

then dial 1,1,2,1,2,1... then 0 to get an agent. It worked for me!

PLEASE DO NOT ALL CALL THIS NUMBER. If we all call that number, it will no longer be available. Only use that number if your application is well overdue. Remember, this is not a help center number, so let's not over use it.

Just wanted to say, just got my SA few seconds ago via email.

Informing you guys even before my spouse! :P

So whoever is in charge of updating the spreadsheet, would appreciate it if you could do the needful?
Thanks
Congrats to everyone who have gotten AORs and SAs.
I think this week is going to be pretty colourful for that spreadsheet!

Call again..
The processing times page has been updated. They say it was updated on April 16th, which is BS cause it was updated a few mins back.
And it says there that the packages they are looking at are packages that were received on March 18th now..So umm, what happened about the packages received before that?!
I think we will wait since they are working on application recieved on 18 , ours was revived on 21st , am sure it will get to our turn soon. Hope we get Aor and SA

I'm extremely confident you'll receive at least an AOR by the end of Friday....
