Just wondering when will they check the medical? I include the proof that my wife had her medical test done and I just want to know if when or who will check that?

first of all i am so thankful that I got SA and AOR fast.well my app it weight 1kilo only, maybe that is why they decide so quickly and less work for them.we have our story in it, few pictures, and some other proof of relationship actually its not lots of proof because my husband and I are together 24/7.anyway you start counting from the day they received your app, when it is more than 30 days you need to call them. are you manila vo also?

Ah, that's one of the factor maybe esp. the volume of your docs, because ours weigh 2kls. I'm from cebu sis.
Thank you for your reply.

PLEASE DO NOT ALL CALL THIS NUMBER. If we all call that number, it will no longer be available. Only use that number if your application is well overdue. Remember, this is not a help center number, so let's not over use it.

Sorry! I thought the number was the local equivalent to their 1-800 number. Doesn't it reach the same place?

That's what I assumed you (and the others on the thread you linked) were using it for.
That it's for those of us outside of Canada who need to check on our application when we don't hear from CIC.
I would assume it reaches the same places.

I think when you call within Canada you reach the office in your province (again, assuming because they say to call before 4pm local time)
I'm not sure which office the abroad number connects you with.

I made 3 assumptions in this post ::)

It's a 613 area code, so that would be Ottawa!

Can someone confirm its normal to have different UCIs? i.e. I'm the sponsor and I have a UCI# and my spouse (principal applicant) and a different UCI.

I received my UCI during AOR/SA process. My spouse just received a different UCI when being asked to send receipt of landing fee / police clearance.

Having different UCIs seems logical but wanted to confirm anyway.

Yes. You each get different UCI numbers. The sponsor can access a little more information on the site, so a lot of couples use that number.
Who doesn't love getting more information from CIC? :)

Thanks. Wish updates could be a lot more frequent... OR any change in status should automatically trigger an email so we don't have to keep logging in aimlessly.

We got our SA today! The letter came in the mail, is dated April 15, but only just came in. Go figure!
Anyway, now the long wait for Australia to come to the party.
Wish me luck!
(also, someone please update the spreadsheet).
