The email shows that they rec'd it on the 31st, not on the 28th like we originally thought. We don't have a tracking number for the package, so I can't confirm this.

Is this info accurate? As in, the date that it was received there?

WEEEEEEEEE!!!!! The funniest part is that I FINALLY called the CIC today to ask a) if they'd received it yet, and b) where our files would be sent to. She told me no, nothing has been received. Then my dad called me, and while I was on the phone with him I got an email notification, and for the first time ALL week I thought "whatever, it's not CIC so I don't care." After getting off the phone with him, what do I see? An email from CIC! Yaaay!

Either in 4 or 7 days.. I thought the package would be received by them on Friday, the 28th but their email shows the 31st.

This could be because we're living in Syria, and officially they are supposed to be expediting the family class sponsorship from here. I hope so! We really need a speedy process :(
 
Also, I should mention I updated the spreadsheet with my AOR info. I also had to change my visa office from Beirut to Amman, since apparently that is where our files will be going. Conveniently, everything is still in alphabetical order! Haha :)

Who keeps changing the spreadsheet? Now looking at it seems too official or something...liked the randomness of it before. Plus, of course we are now way down at the bottom haha. >:(

Kasbal, hoping for us to hear news soon as well. Congrats to persons moving on to next stage. Makes the weekend more enjoyable i imagine.
 
Yeah whoever changed the spreadsheet messed up the averages thing, it's randomly in the middle of the page. And some of the cells have the #value in them which means the formula is messed up. I can fix it at work tomorrow, the only time I reorganized was to group visa offices together and I only did that after I volunteered to admin the spreadsheet. Unless someone else wants to admin it they should only update their personal information.

I'm super glad to hear that they're speeding everything up for you! Hope you're home safe soon.

In my experience, they returned the application because of one missing document. I certainly wish they had given me AOR and requested the additional document via email.

Complete lies? What motive would I have to tell a lie on this topic? If others were upset, that is regrettable, but it certainly wasn't my intent. Do you have an email add, I'm quite happy to send you copies of the notification emails as proof. Is there any way to attach documents to these posts as I'm happy to do that too. Also, if you look at the spreadsheet, you'll see that there have been people at 5 days, 3 days, 9 days, etc. There seems to be no predictability to the amount of time required. Given this, it seems just a tad harsh to accuse me of telling 'complete lies' for the joy of watching others become upset.

I got AOR in 8 days, I don't think people here make lies.

I believe you gumby, were theysame I got AOR in 8 days too.

Quick question for you, I see that in your information you have a "File Transferred" date, but that it doesn't appear on the Google spreadsheet. How did you learn that your file was transferred?

File is transferred when you get sponsorship approval :)
