you guys are so intense! lol Maybe it's just me, I've basically accepted the fact that I'm going to be waiting for a very long time, I'm just gonna sit back, watch some Ellen or 2 Broke Girls, have a laugh, and when it happens, it happens! lol

I wouldn't be so anxious if it weren't for our current living situation :(

We are pretty desperate to get out of here..

oh I didn't consider that. Where are you? I hope you're able to travel somewhere safer sometime soon.

We're living in Damascus. Officially they are "prioritizing" Syrian family class appliations, but I am skeptical. I'm worried we'll be stuck here for another year :/

Am I the only one checking this thread 1 million times a day to see who's gotten their AORs?? It gives me hope! Hahaha :) Congrats to all that have gotten their SA so far!

Question! When we submitted our App we put Beirut as our chosen VO, as we're applying from inside Syria (and the embassy here is closed).

However, on the CIC website it says that Beirut is only responsible for Lebanese PR apps ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/beirut.asp )

Is there a possibility that our file could get transferred to Jordan or Turkey? Those offices are, according to the website, processing Syrian PR apps.

I'm worried because if they need us to come pick up a visa/go for an interview it will be VERY difficult to get to either of those places. What do y'all think?

My advice is to call the CIC helpdesk and ask them exactly which Visa Office is responsible for applicants who live in Syria.

Definitely not alone! Lol, we are so anxious.. i'm sure between the two of us we are probably on here almost the whole day ;)
The average processing time for Accra is 15 months right now and i'm sure it's going to feel like a lifetime, but glad it's not as long as some of the others. Hoping to be lucky and get speedy processing, even a few months apart feels like too much :(

Hi guys just wanted to know how long it takes on average to get AOR from the Manila visa office,

I hope you are not connfusing the AOR you get from CPC-M to Manila visa office. The reason I said that is because the Manila visa office does not send AOR.

ooohh sorry o_guy it was a mistake on my own part actually I wanted to ask on average how long does it take for the decision to be made by Manila visa office. My wife is sponsoring me, I am in Korea with my wife for my masters degree and I am on scholarship. I will finish my program by December 2014 just wanted to make sure the timing is right so that once I am through with my course my wife and I can head home

Well according to the CIC timeline page, it takes 14 months for the Manila visa office to process spouse sponsorship application. But people on the "Phillipjnes English Speaking" thread are saying that the Manila visa office is currently working on applications submitted on July 2013. Look for that thread.

guys how do we know that our file is tranfer to visa processing, are they going to send us an email saying that they transfer or a visa processing will email saying that they received our documents? thanks

When you get sponsorship approval it'll say your file is being transferred to the Visa Office abroad depending on where the applicant is from.

Sadly Manila does not send an AOR or any email stating that they've received the application.

First thing I think, when you log in online you will see "in progress" when they start working on your file.

Right, everyone?
