I was thinking, I think when CIC received the applications they then open them and check. If they think your application is okay, they then send you an AOR, but if they think they still need time to check your applications, they will delay the sending of the AOR so that they could still be within the processing time of 28 days for the Sponsorship Approval. I believe 28 days processing time for Sponsorship Approval starts from the day they sent the AOR. What do you think?

I don't think it's 28 days from the AOR. I recall someone posting on this thread that they got their AOR via email on the 13th of this month but according to the automated email they got his application somewhere on the 22nd of march.

I don't think so cuz by looking at other spreadsheets, it clearly says total time after receiving the app for sponsor approval would be 30 days.

i dont think so i know ppl who doesnt even got a AOR just the SA letter

yeah i say the spreed sheet and i saw you sent your application before than me and that its been 28 days already you should call them tomorrow or the day after and ask about your application keep me update thoe and goodluck

I called CIC-M today and sadly they can't really give any information other than the one that was in the website. I asked them if they could find out the exact date they're working on at the moment. They told me they were working on the 13th. Which I don't believe because I know for certain that it doesn't take a week to process 1 days worth of application. I'm just hoping they update their records tomorrow so I can have a reference if it's past March 18 they're working on by tomorrow!. Still, goodluck with the applications

ah i think they update it on Wednesday but hopefully you will heard from them soon

They should be processing something b/t mar 15 - march 25. will know the exact date on Wednesday.
May be you will getting SA straight...never know.

clearly, the people who pick up the phone in the CPC are not the ones that process the applications. they do not know more than what we can see on the website. does it make any sense to call them at all?

I think it can be faster sometimes. I got an email on March 20th that they received my application to sponser on March 12, 2013. Then on April 8th on the webpage I saw that a decesion had been made an a letter sent to me on April 8th. I got that letter today saying my application to sponser my wife was approved and her application has been sent to Ottawa.

Hello guys. I'm a march applicant too.

Manila visa office. Here is my timeline:


March 5, 2013- Application Sent to CPCM
March 8, 2013- Application has been received
April 5, 2013- Application for eligibility to sponsor approved
Medical Results Received
Application sent to CEM


Now waiting for response from cem and maybe ppr. I don't know how long would the it take. Waiting can be hard. Good luck to all of us.
