Hi
I am a permanent resident of Canada and came to India for marriage and didn't went back for 6 months. But now my wife is 3 weeks pregnant. I don't understand the procedure now. Can i apply for my pregnant spouse for PR in Canada. I want the birth of my child in Canada if possible.
If not, than i will have to wait back here in India. Normal processing time is 10-11 months. Is there any chance, if embassy can consider it in a special case and cooperate by immigrating my spouse. It will be difficult for me to start all over again in Canada. I wish to go and start my business there in Canada without any further delay, but need assistance and cooperation.

I think they would take this into consideration. A friend got his PR faster then most because his wife was pregnant. Plus on the forms it does ask if your spouse is pregnant so my guess is they factor that in. My friend did have a lawyer and claimed the lawyer had connections that gave him priorety but i dont know how much truth is in that. They claim on the CIC site that it doesnt help.

They shortened the processing time to 28 days from 30 days. That would be good.

It is a very hopeful time.

Hello Folks,

I got AOR today (Apr 13). Hope everyone receives it soon.
Stage 1 clear!!!
Wait continues...

I heard some people dont even get a AOR . How true is that? i havent received mine :(

i do check my email everyday and ECas as well, from time to time, nothing has changed until now... Sponsorship Status has changed to Decision Made. It says they sent me a mail on April 10 about the decision on my application. Hope I'll get the Sponsorship Approval letter. Kinda worried lately coz I didnt get any email notification from them which they usually send out to everyone. Hopefully, its something positive that I get from the mailbox very soon. God be with me!

I wonder if kimnavarro and DsWifey ever got their's yet? Maybe they just forgot to tell us....? But I hope you do find out soon KKMoe (and I hope we do too, selfish I know, sigh)

I was thinking, I think when CIC received the applications they then open them and check. If they think your application is okay, they then send you an AOR, but if they think they still need time to check your applications, they will delay the sending of the AOR so that they could still be within the processing time of 28 days for the Sponsorship Approval. I believe 28 days processing time for Sponsorship Approval starts from the day they sent the AOR. What do you think?

Hi everyone! :(

I'm sorry it took a while before I replied. :( I was trying to be busy with work so I don't notice the time. It's taking too long for me. :( I still haven't received any response, even an AOR. :( Today is my 28th day, still no response. Do you think it's okay for me to call them now? :(
