Hey Guys, I am so excited because, today on December 22nd, 2017 is the day I sent my application towards completion of my Canadian immigration story :)... However, I submitted all the necessary documents with my application but there is one problem; my old passport was stolen. I don't have a police report at hand because the incident happened in Toronto and I applied from Montreal. And I was told to go to Toronto and file it but I sent a cover letter explaining why it was stolen and letters from doctors and social worker due to the incident. I was able to get a copy of the biographical page though but my question is, would I be given a RQ for on or before interview date? Or feel free to share your experience with lost passports. I'll greatly appreciate your feedback guys. Peace!

IMO, there is a relatively higher chance of getting RQ, likely after the interview. But, no point worrying about it, nothing much you can do now, except maybe start preparing documents for RQ, just in case.

Edit: btw, there are already a ton of threads on the topic. Here are a few to read:

Thanks for your response. I called CIC and they told me that it shouldn't stop me from getting my citizenship but he did mention the RQ :(
