The approval e-mail we received this afternoon:
Hi Mr <boss name>,

I am pleased to advise that your applications have both been approved and are on their way to your attention. Good luck going forward.

I'm so excited! Thank you everyone on this post that helped me so much on getting my LMIA done. You guys are the best :)

Hello guys,

I have some questions in my mind, What is the difference between "Dual intent LMIA" and "LMIA to support PR only"?
Is there anybody here who is doing or who did all the process by himself?

I have open work permit until dec 2017, so which LMIA is good for me?

Thank you in advance and good luck to all.

Congratulations diaswrd!

I'm from Brasil too and I also got a positive LMIA in last July 26th. Now I'm waiting for the WP.

Good luck on your journey!

Hello everyone.

I have one question. My employer got an email from service Canada saying that " Failure to make contact by Tuesday August 24, 2016 by 4:30 pm may result in the file being reviewed based on the content submitted alone (which is generally a refusal).". My employer called them before the deadline and left voice message.that officer called my employer back but unfortunately my employer is busy at that time. My employer again called that officer back and left voice message . Is that consider as failure to contact them. Does anyone have that same situation happen? My employer directly got an email from them. Please advise.. Thanks

Thank you! And congratulations to you too!

When did you applied for the WP? I hope it won't take much longer.

Bad news.

My hubby's LMIA is rejected because of the rate of unemployment in SK.

The boss is going to apply as a dual LMIA again.

Does it have possibility to pass at this time?

I am so sad.

NOC 6211.

The later is free while the former has a $1000 fee. Dual intent LMIA, if positive, will enable the applicant to apply for a work permit while waiting for their PR. I believe only an employer is able to apply as only they can provide all the documents required.

Did you apply for regular work permit LMIA in first attempt? I am very surprised to see they declined LMIA in SK on the basis of unemployment rate. I think they still have the lowest unemployment rate.

Dont you have option for SINP?

I think so.

Sk has kindda stable rate.

Even more, the place we are supposed to work is a small place.

We are going to apply EE-CEC anyway so we change our plan to dual intent LMIA.

Thank you for your reply.

Possibly but ive seen some people say it has to be above the median provincial wage as well as the jobs median.

Median wage in alberta is like 25hr

oh okay but this is what it says on cic website
Streams for High-wage or Low-wage Positions
Employers are required to use the median hourly wages by province/territory to know which Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) requirements they have to meet. The wage being offered along with the location for the position, will determine if the employers need to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) under the stream for high-wage or low-wage positions, each with their own requirements.

Employers offering a wage to a temporary foreign worker that is:

Below the provincial/territorial median hourly wage will be subject to all of the requirements of the Stream for Low-wage Positions;
At or above the provincial/territorial median hourly wage will be subject to all of the requirements of the Stream for High-wage Positions.

We have applied on august the 4th. Time frames for brazillian applicants are around 11 weeks.

Team

I have Intracompany transfer visa from a Company A. I found another company B , that's willing to apply for LMIA. Has any one gone through similar scenario like mine. I like to understand the process.

Any help information is much appreciated.
