LMIA application processing time?

Hi Guys, do you know how long it takes for Service Canada to charge you or inform you that you have incomplete application? if yes, how do they inform your employer?

They email your employer if the application is incomplete. and the 4th time we have sent, they charged my boss in 3 days

I've noticed that when its a re-submission they charge you much quicker.

I haven't seen anything on the Service Canada website that suggests a 2 week break is going to happen. Nothing I can do about it either way but the site seemed to suggest that only statutory holidays are taken which in this case would be Christmas Day and Boxing Day. My birthday is this Friday. A positive LMIA is the only gift I need

It's been 12 weeks since we sent the application and 9 weeks since the fees were charged and the application was assigned.

Hope you're right it's just the stat holidays, don't need to give them an excuse to work any slower haha!
Guess employees can take extra holidays like any of us though.
Santa please bring a positive LMiA

My employer has been told by SC we will have a decision this week, fingers crossed they deliver on that promise.

Thank you everyone for answering my queries. My employer is on holidays until January 5 and we faxed the LMIA last Nov 22, 2014. Hope it will be all good.

Hey guys!! advance Merry Christmas to all..


my Employer and MP office phoned Service Canada the other day, They said they will going to give the result of LMIA in DEC18, I am not holding to it much because the last time we phoned them they said DEC4, so meaning after 2 weeks again they will give another date to expect.

LMIA submitted : OCT 2, 2014
Processing Fee collected and FILE # OCT 22, 2014

Now still waiting.. My WP and TRV will expire DEC31, I will be a prisoner as I am not allowed to work and drive (My driving license will expire same date)

I'm seeing a lot of results for people who have similar timelines as myself I wish my results would just come already.My LMIA is for PR which is processed at a different center that TFW LMIAs so hope it comes soon. Tired of waiting.
