Hi all,

My lawyer submitted my LMIA file In December and we've got the file number. Is there any way to track our LMIA application or can we just call the Service Canada Office to know about further details?

Or I should just wait? After how long my employer can expect an interview??

All replies would be much appreciated.

Thank You

There is no way to know status of the application.
Just need to wait and watch.
In which province was the application submitted ?

There is nothing you can do other than wait, even you call them, they will tell you that there is high volume of application and please wait for 4-12 weeks (counting from file number issued date). If after the 12 weeks and still no updates, they will continue telling you to wait until the 25th week. At the 25th week, the telephone agent will take action to inform the LMIA processing officers, if still not 25 weeks, they are not allowed to do such, just wait patiently.

Hi, as I have been working with my employer for years, the LMIA officer only asked for the previous 3 months paystubs to prove I am still working and the employer is able to pay the wage, that's all
Did you provide anything, such as certificate or diploma, to prove that you are qualified for the job?

Hi,

I am from BC. I applied on January 15th and it was received on the 18th by Service Canada. My employer said Service Canada sent our application to another place(forgot the name) because of dual intention (for PR). So far we have not received the file number. My employer said the fee hasn’t been charged. What should I do?

Did you apply with dual intention?
