Numair728, Ruue,

To learn about PR programs, eligibility, and application processes use these links. There is a tone of literature there.

1- Canadian experience class (CEC): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
2- Federal skilled workers (FSW): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp
3- Family Sponsorship (Inland): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
4- National Occupational Classification (NOC Codes): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

- The number one requirement for both 1 & 2 is that you must have at least 1-year, full time work experience (or part-time amounting to 1560hrs/year)
- The main requirement for family sponsorship (spouse/common-law) is at least 1-year of living together as a couple. Among other things, evidence of this would be; joint bank account, rent lease in both names, paying taxes together, etc.

So explore the literature in the above links carefully and see what options you will have in a year's time. Also remember to choose your jobs carefully. Aim for NOC 0, A, or B to have a good chance at getting your PR successfully. Hopefully that helps.

Cheers!

i know people asked this before but I couldn't find it. Is it OK to apply with 'outside of canada' TRV application when you're inside Canada?

Hey guys,

I got my work permit last month after waiting for like six months but CIC issued me permit only till mid February 2015 as my passport is expiring around the same time. I applied for my passport renewal so I can get extension on PGWP for rest of the 3 years period. Now I am wondering if I should flagpole or again apply through CIC which might again take forever. Does anyone know if I can flagpole and get extension for rest of the period?

UPDATE

Application: 21 May 2015
Approval: 28 Nov 2015
Delivery: 07 Dec 2015 (Typically, it doesn't take longer than a week I hear)

Passport expires on 20th Dec 2016, so PGWP issued till passport expiry. Says, renew passport for further extensions though.
Question,
How do I know the actual length of my PGWP issued (not restricted by passport expiry) aside from the fact that I graduated from a two years course.

Thanks

My pgwp got approved on 26th Nov, but I still waiting for the physical work permit. I don't know normally how long does it take. Just make me feel not good again.
