I applied on June 25th. I got the update right away. Now, I see that many of you are talking about extra $100. I did not get any notification about that, I paid $255, now if someone can tell me is that the right amount or should I worry that I did not pay enough? Or maybe you guys have paid only $155 and that's why your processing time is longer? I paid for "Work Permit" which was $155 and for "Open Work Permit Holder Fee" which was $100. Also, in the instruction has been mentioned that if you do not submit all documents or if you do not pay the right amount your processing time will be longer. Good luck!

Did flagpole at rainbow bridge and received work permit for me and my wife for 3 years.

I would strongly recommend everyone to take this chance.

Thanks for all the help. it's an open work permit but he has mentioned the location as Toronto, should I be worried?

Can I cancel my online application? Please feel free to ask any question if any one wants to flagpole

Hey

It will be helpful if any one can explain Flagpole to all.
What it is ? What was your status and how did you get your pgwp after flagpoling?
What we all need to do ?

Hi everyone, I want share my application, and also have a question.
After I paid additional $100 through CSE, I have only received an automatically replied email from Question @ cic.gc.ca,
but not got any message that my additional $100 payment receipt has been attached to my application. Is this normal?

Applied: May 1st
Blank Update: July 15th (76 days)
Paid $100: July 19th (Through CSE)
Still Waiting (92 days till 30th July)
Hey can you tell me what is CSE ? and did you get any notification from Cic to pay and upload receipt ?

Case specific enquiry, check the previous posts.
I haven't got any updates from CIC. I paid by myself according to other applicants experiences.

CIC
Last update as of today was July 17, 2015
CIC is currently processing applications submitted on April 8, 2015
Official processing time as of today is 106 days for WP.
**New TRV (Inland) processing time for online applicants is 16 days.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. Any PGWP applicants who visit this amazing forum and don't have their timeline profiles recorded on here should endeavour to provide their details truthfully. It helps everyone to keep track of things. If you want to be sure of your day counts please visit this site at http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html. Be sure to select “Include end date in calculation.” The above individual timelines have been sorted according to date of application.

2. If for whatever reason you email or call CIC, please feel free to share your findings in the forum.

3. If you paid only $155 and never paid the extra $100 for all OWP holders, please visit these two sites to pay the remaining balance:
a) Online Payment at: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en. Once you are there follow the instructions below:
Click continue below > Accept disclaimer > Immigration > Temporary residence > Open work permit holder fee > type 1 for number of
applications.

b) Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) at: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.63908399.108801500.1431902909
Use this online form to upload the PDF receipt you received. First fill in your UCI, address, phone etc. Scan and upload it to the
CSE. Also, type a short precise message (in the message box) indicating your reasons. In that message don't forget to include
your online Application Number that begins with a W.

4. If you receive your PGWP, please remember to visit the forum again and update us. Also, make sure that you renew your SIN by visiting your nearest Service Canada office at: http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/cgi-bin/sc-srch.cgi?app=hme&ln=eng

** New TRV for those who want to travel after receiving their PGWP. Processing fee is $100 (the required docs for application include; passport copy, face/head photograph, IMM5257E form, and a copy of your PGWP). Please be aware that your PGWP doesn't give you the right to return to Canada. You need a new TRV that you apply for as a worker NOT as a student. To get more information on applying for a new TRV from WITHIN Canada, please go to: https://www.google.com/search?q=apply+for+new+TRV+within+Canada&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=Apply+for+new+TRV+from+within+Canada

Congratulations to Yukiyuki111, Pama, and other members that have received their PGWP. Good luck on your job search.

As always keep the faith and stay positive. It is a waiting game.

Cheers! :)

Hi guys this is my first post here could really do with some help if anyone can. I was on a iec visa and applied for a bowp by paper I was completly unaware of the extra 100$ don't know how I missed it alot of the articles i read didnt mention it but they have been since updated as of the end of May which was just after I sent my application so didnt see it. Anyway they sent the whole thing back to me and I am now out of status and have approx 30 days left in the grace period.

As far as I can see now my best bet is my gf who has applied for her pgwp we have been living together for over a year now so am I intitled to a c41 exemption? Her permit won't be here untill the end of September is my best guess but if she gets herself a skilled job before then we could potentially flagpole? If not should I restore my status to a visitor to buy me more time waiting here? Also what do we need to prove all of this our most compelling evidence is various letters sent to the same address.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this I really appreciate it :)

Jack1991,

1. To know more about C41, go to: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/policy.asp

2. To prove your Common-Law status of at least 1 year, you will need the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (form IMM5409E). You can find it at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5409E.pdf. Fill in the necessary info. Drop in or make an appointment with a Notary Public in your area. Do a Google search for them.

3. If you and your GF desperately need a SOWP and PGWP respectively read about FP on this forum from page 15 and onwards. All the info you need to know is there. Compile all documents, make the necessary preparations, and head to the border. If you are successful, check both OWPs to ensure that they indicate Location: UNKNOWN. If they don't show unknown, politely talk to the officer to change it before you leave the border.

4. If you want to wait for your GF to receive her PGWP, no problem. However, you can only apply for your SOWP after she receives hers. Good luck.

Cheers!
