HI, True, may be those checks are what consuming the time.sunnysport said:I do not have S16(1) but I do have S15 (1) and S19(1) on top of some pages. My daughter is in Canada on Work Permit probably they are doing a RCMP check on her.
As per the CIC guidelines and last years stats for Access to Information Act :
The majority of exemptions CIC invoked fell under three sections of the Access to Information Act:
subsection 19(1), which protects personal information, was used in 10,377 cases (57 percent);
subsection 15(1), which covers international relations, defence and subversive activities, was used in 5,494 cases (30 percent);
subsection 16(1), which addresses law enforcement and criminal investigations, was used in 2,563 cases (25 percent).
It should be noted that more than one subsection can be applied to a specific request.
So back to square One, Finally do not know what is happening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunny
Also, can you please share what the latest NOTES of the officer probably dated 17th Jan. The notes explanation will have the reason for PROVISIONALLY passing and the response thats awaited. You can also PM me the notes, if you wish.
I think we are all there..they have to finalize all of us before sending out MR to the new Intake.
Else, his scrapping of pre2008 wont be justified.
