im not getting my hopes up yet either...however, it would be so nice to be at an in process status come our anniversary, in OCT~!!

It would also be nice is if this is the last trip i need to make at least for the rest of the year....If NOT Xmas better me the last trip i make down lol

Winter a cometh and i wants to snuggle up in some good ol country bones!! lmao

Good morning!

CharlieD, or any of you that can shed light....Have you seen this post?

These are for the 12 months up to March 31, 2012. Measured in number of months from the time the overseas processing centre receives the application from Mississauga. For example, 50% of the cases were processed in x months, while 80% of the cases were processed in y months. The figure y would include the cases from figure x.

Source - http://www.data.gc.ca

20% 30% 50% 70% 80% Total Cases

Kingston, Jamaica 6 7 10 14 16 744

Doesn't sound very good.. So what happens to the other 728 applications? Seems like so little for such a long period of time and if there are 744 cases and only 16 at 80%, thats not 80% of cases at all. Thats 2%!!

Can you help me understand??

Mawnin! Looks like I have an update and addition to our board.

Welcome Teddy!!!

Congrats Ready!

@ Blondie, look at the chart from backwards... 80% includes all the app #s from 70% and down, then 70% include all the numbers from 50% and down.... so 20% = 6, 30% equals 6+7= 15, etc etc...

I will do an update shortly but lurking from work again lol

Hey Jamgirl,

but the numbers dont add up to 80% or even 20% of the 744 cases. Shouldnt 80% of 744 be 595 completed?

in theory, but this is Kingston right lol

so right lol

The bottom figures do not represent cases, they represent months. So of 744 cases, 20% were completed in 6 months, 30% in 7 months, 50% in 10 months and so on.

Visa Offices Last 12 Months
April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012
Cases Passed Cases Refused Approval Rate

KIngston 1,078 274 80% 1,435

then
20% 30% 50% 70% 80%
6 7 11 17 22 1,352

Their numbers never add up.. lol

Oh, it looks to me like the chart is reflecting that 20% of cases are completed in 6 months, 30% in 7 months, 50% in 10, 70% in 14 and 80% in 16. CIC's timeline for Jamaica shows 16 months (which is the majority - 80%)

then that would mean that in the post I just did.... 80% of cases were completed in 22 months! ??? thats whole 6months longer than the 16 months they have posted!
