We first applied for Spousal inland sponsorship in November 2024. Sent in all of our documents and the background check was finally completed Jan 20th . Also in the tracker it says we received police certificate we sent in eith the application. My husband had the check done in 2022 in jamaica, he did not need another police check when coming back to canada in 2024. He has been in canada with me since then. We just received a letter say he needs a NEW police certificate from jamaica, my question is how are we supposed to get that if hes living in Canada since 2024. If we mail all the documents to jamaica they would not receive it by the date IRCC is supposed to receive it back which is Feb 16. My question is can we do this police check electronically?
