US citizen wife living in Niagara on visitor status, working in Buffalo daily — will CBSA have a problem?

Setup:
• Me: Canadian PR, living/working in Ontario
• Wife: US citizen, full-time job in Buffalo, NY
• Married July 2026 (NY civil ceremony)
• Plan: she moves to Niagara this fall, crosses to Buffalo for work each morning, back to Canada every night. She'd extend her stay with a Visitor Record.

A CBSA officer told me daily crossings on visitor status "will get flagged."

Questions for anyone who's done a daily commute like this (Peace Bridge / Rainbow / Lewiston-Queenston):
1. How did CBSA treat the daily re-entries?
2. How often did you get secondary? What docs did you carry?
3. Did NEXUS help?
4. Anything you'd do differently?

While you wait for `real experiences' replies...

Firstly, she cannot MOVE to Niagara (or any other place in Canada) until she has the legal right to do so. Period.

Every time she attempts to re-enter Canada AS A VISITOR, she runs the risk of being denied entry. Period.

She had better be prepared (at anytime) to show evidence to a CBSA officer, if asked, of:

* Strong ties `back home'; meaning home, job, bank account, etc.
*Proof of health insurance that will cover her while she is in Canada `visiting' you.

It's paramount to understand that just like `average people', even a CBSA officer can have a bad day...that could lead to her being banned from returning to Canada if they don't like her answers, or story.

she has job in usa and bank account as well, so what shall i do? apply for spousal sponsorship?
