Ami Sanghvi. @amisanghavi correct me if I am wrong. ;)

I have heard that IP1 and IP2 are valid no longer. IRCC has done changes in their systems at the back-end which aren't getting reflected on the dashboard. The only valid update so far is when we get a MEP update followed by R10 review.

IP2 stage (which used to mean your background verification has started!) used to take not more than 20 days nowadays takes more than 60 days these days. This is apparently nothing but a technical glitch.

If this is true, I hope IRCC will soon fix the front-end.

Its not that ip1, ip2 are not valid. Its just that its not the terms cic actually uses.
The trend of using these terms came in because usually the application are processed in stages and ip2 or bgc starting usually means eligibility, medical etc is over etc etc.
I could be wrong here though .

What I am confused is, where exactly is my application

he knew its recommend pass from the gcms note. he shared the screenshot with me. and then in january he talked to an agent who said the eligibility is now "not started".

Alternatively do you think its just the case of the call centre agents not knowing/not being able to see enough on their systems hence this mismatch?

For instance, most people will have eligibility under progress till the end, even if its actually cleared. The only way to know your eligibility is cleared is gcms or calling agents (like in my case).
Maybe the agents can only see limited info especially for bgc checks?

Ahh well I guess I am just being crazy and anxious.

My application was approved and profile updated today!

That's awesome!!!
Now, let's hope you get the PPR soon. Mine was approved on Jan 3 but still nothing. I don't know what the hold up could be even after an application is approved.

No this is the final approval after submitting passport. This means visa has been issued.
