Question regarding Portal emails. I haven't gotten it yet but I saw some others post about it...

When it asks for your "original date of entry" is that the first time you EVER entered Canada? That would be 2004 for me. What does it mean exactly?

Last entry u made in canada whether u visit anywhere limited time period. If you did not left since 1st entry than yes u show first entry.

"Original entry", first time you ever entered Canada no matter on what status, "last entry" is very clear whether you are in country or have left after that and did not come back
