I just overheard that they don't count internship under CEC.
They do not count unpaid work (some internships are not paid). They do not count work that was performed while you were a student, whether co-op work assigments that are considered part of your education (some people use the term "internship" here), or "summer internships" before graduation. The problem is that people use the word "internship" to mean different things.

The criteria are very clear - if the work is skilled, if it is authorized, if it paid, and it is not gained under a study permit, then it is eligible. Does not matter if you are called an intern.

I'm not sure why people above suggested you are not eligible, clearly yes you are eligible to apply for CEC if you have gained 1 year of skilled working experience under any of the NOC 1B or 0.

If your work experience is gained AFTER YOU GRADUATED and on a PGWP, yes you are eligible to apply. The "internship can't be counted towards working experience" only applies on people who gained their work experience on a study permit. Your work titles does not matter in your case, only the "work experience on PGWP" matters the most, unless internship is a mandatory requirement for your study then you can't apply.
