Hello guys..i just have a question... I sent my app dec 24, 2012 and i didnt include my medical...when do they normally request it? Is it after AIP? Thanks

Normally CIC will request medical after AIP but they can still ask for medical before AIP is granted sometimes.

Good morning!! It's Thursday!! Hopefully
some great news today!!
For those of you who have already gotten
AIP, do you get an email first or do you
find out on Ecas?

Normally you get email first then ECas notice. However that is not always the rule. Some have saw it on Ecas before getting email.

@ screech! Thank you. Just making sure I'm looking in the right
places. I'm thinking any day now? Although
they haven't changed the date on the website
yet! Sigh

At least it move a bit. 3 days isn't much but its something.

it moved 3 days.. oh maaaan!! this is not good.

On another note, initial PR card wait time has gone up to 72 days from 69 days. The 72 days does reflect our wait time for my spouse's PR card.

Mu husband also called CIC just now and asked about my case.
Their answer is confusing...They said that my stage 1 is approved and I'll have my documents November 24th and stage 2 is in process too.
So what does that mean?? they just waiting to stick to 10 month deadline and it's a general answer..if it's somehow approved then where's my AIP paper???
I also ordered the CGMS notes 2 weeks ago, maybe it will help to understand

Screech - how long have you been waiting for the PR card?

My wife received her PR card in the mail 72 days after landing.

Doesn't make sense if they say the 1st stage is approved when your application won't get looked at until Ecas says they are looking at dec 24 application. I wouldn't put too much stock in what agents say on the phone regarding cases.

I bet that if your husband called back again in 10 mins, he will get a different agent with a different answer.

Yayyyy they've move!! As if..... May be
I'm not optimistic because they haven't
passed my date yet?
I mean any change is welcome cause I didn't
expect any!!
This can't go on forever! It has to end at some point
sooo in the mean time ill sit bk relax and enjoy
the ride'!

Just got off the phone again with cic after a few days if trying to update my address...

He said no update on the file but said to expect aip the end if next month...I'll believe it when I see it but here's hoping,

*Some* movement is still more promising than *no* movement. How many MONTHS did we go with *no* movement? 4? 5? It seems they are finally starting to work on apps received last fall, at least. Fingers crossed for some more good news today and tomorrow!

And Jolly1, as Screech said, I received an email with my AIP letter attached. ECAS was updated the next business day (letter received on a Friday, ECAS showed update on Tuesday after a holiday). However, from what I've read on the forum, CIC is not at all consistent about updating ECAS quickly or regularly. Some have finished the process without ECAS updating, while some like me received very fast ECAS updates.
