Since you are getting an interview before AIP status, it is probably just an interview to clear up any issue on information on the application. Usually once the interview is done and agent is satified with the interview, you usually get AIP at that point.

I just saw that I`m alone in April(( I spoke few weeks ago with CIC and they told me that everything is ok and if I don`t have DM to September 5th....to call them again. I rushed to come back home after work today...to check my e-cast but....nothing...I`m so disappointed Almost one year after AIP and 17 moths after I send my Appl((((

No offense to CIC, waiting 11 months after AIP with no DM and everything's fine???
That's BS in my book.

Anyway that said, hope you get DM anytime soon despite what CIC says about waiting til sept 5th.

I think you should keep calling them until one of the agents bothers to email Vegreville for your application. I think they sometimes do that when you're over the standard processing time.

Hey Guys! I've posted before and often follow the forum without posting. I am sponsoring my boyfriend and applied back in November 2012 and still have not received AIP (like most of us). I did receive an email from CIC back in January (i think) letting me know the app was received. I'm just wondering whether CIC will contact me about AIP or my boyfriend?

Not too sure what they normally do, but just confused since they contacted me to let me know the app was received instead of him.

Hopefully we are in the same situations at Quebecokie and get AIP and DM on the same day...i cannot imagine waiting another 8 months after AIP, we miss his family and i definitely miss travelling. *fingers crossed*

Quebecokie did not apply for OWP. She saw no point in spending the money if she is not going to find a job being an english speaker in quebec that doesn't speak french well enough.

Yep, what Screech said. CIC sent snail mail to hubby (sponsor) for AOR in Jan. both AIP and DM emails came to me.

I know, its been such a long process, now 2 more years to applying for citizenship
