Took 21 days for me (Calendar) and eventually it was approved.

So it is taking time due to students/holiday rush, nothing to worry, Cheers !!

HI All,

I am on Work permit in Canada. I do have applied dependent TRV for my wife and Son online from Canada by my company on 16th April. They got passport request and Medical Request on 23rd april. Medical examination of my wife has been done on 7th May and Medical exam of my son has been done on 13th May. Medical results have been submitted by Hospitals on 15th May. Passports of my son and wife have been submitted on 7th May in Ahemadabd VFS. I have booked their air tickets from India to Canada on 3rd June. Still both applications are shown under process in Banglore consolute.

Do anyone have idea how many days it takes to get passport back?

just wanna share timeline, my wife is indian national living as PR in Italy, I am here on work visa, trv applied online 17th may.
got a mail regarding update for first time today, but status is still open (mycic), so somebody should be working on it, fingers crossed.

I've applied on 29-Apr-2015(online application) and didnt get any update till now. I submitted "Case specific" enquiry to Bangalore and New Delhi. Got response back from Bangalore saying that my file is being processed from Delhi. But no response from Delhi office yet. Not sure what is going on. Did anyone have such an experience. Nowadays it is taking less than 12 days(from the previous posts) for processing. So, clearly it is not the issue with processing time. I guess they are holding my application for some reason. My PR application is also in progress in New Delhi and I've got sponsorship approval(first stage) on 15-Apr. Could that be the reason?

Hi Starsniper,

Did you apply for sponsoring your wife before submitting the visitor visa application for your wife? I applied for visitor visa for my wife after I got sponsorship approval. The application is in New Delhi right now. It has been more than a month and I haven't got any update on my wife's visitor visa application!!

Do you mean to say that you got text message saying that your application is approved? Or is the SMS from courier agency?
