Delayed TRV processing from Malaysia

Hi all,
Im currently applying for TRV to continue working in Canada because my current one expired this March with 1 year of PGWP remaining. Because my TRV expired I webt back home to Malaysia. In the same application I also applied for another family member’s TRV for tourism.

The application received on April 25 and I received correspondence on May 13 for both me and family member that biometrics are valid.

Family member received letter to submit passport on May 22nd with visa approval but I have not received any more letters since the correspondence on May 13th.

Is this smth I should be concerned about?

I was the main applicant, due to the language barrier I helped my parent apply for their TRV.

So they applied for their own TRV then. Why would you have to leave Canada if your TRV expired? Processing times can be quite long. It appears as though your family member was primarily processed through AI which is why it was processed quickly. If anything there are more red flags for your parent’s application than yours so makes little sense. I assume you know your parent can’t live with you in Canada and should only be planning a short visit.
