If you have done MBA from India, do not opt for ECA from WES

Hi all,

I have an Engineering degree as well as an MBA degree, and did ECA through WES for immigration purpose.
WES gave "Bachelor's degree(four years)" for my Engineering and "Postgraduate diploma (one year)" for my MBA. My MBA was not recognized as 'Masters Degree'.

My current CRS is 453.

Please guide which bodies can help in getting Canadian MBA equivalent ECA. Also, can I update my EE profile with updated ECA from a different body?

Hi Apoorva - As far as I know, CES (I got mine evaluated from CES) and IQAS (A classmate of mine went with IQAS) give Masters for Indian MBA. IQAS takes longer than CES for evaluation though. I suggest you read about both these agencies in the forum and choose the one best suited for you.

Yes - once you get a masters evaluation from a different agency, you can update your EE profile and you will get the additional points.

I am planning on getting my ECA done and I have done MBA from Nirma University. 2 quick questions:
1. Which agency should I get my ECA done from to get the 2 year full equivalent? How long would other agencies typically take to evaluate?
2. I have already paid for WES, can I cancel that as I have not sent any document till now?

I have done my MBA from Eilum University in 2012 but now this University is blacklisted from Wes. We are processing our PR, Canada through an agent so they told me they won't send my MBA degree for assessment since it's blacklisted. So please tell me if Wes will not accept any document or stamped it then it will affect our jobs also once we will land in Canada.. Can I use my MBA degree in Canada or it will be garbage after that? Wes is necessary for PR?? Can I do my documentation from other such authorities also?? I am confused plz guide me.

I’ve done my MBA from India JNTU-k, but as WES is not giving equivalent to Masters, I’d like to chose another organisation.Suggest me which is best and faster. And also, if I apply only MASTERS, will they consider to masters it do I need to send UG transcript as well?

So from what I understand, CES gives masters equivalency to MBA from recognized state University unlike WES which only considers MBA from IIM as masters equivalent. Am I correct? Also, in your case how long did CES take?

Hello,

I got my ECA report last week , they did not consider my MBA full time as master , kindly suggest me best & fast option.
what about CES & what if I will send my MBA transcript only not bachelor ? will they consider as master ? CES is also accepted in canada ? i have few doubts please help me and suggest best way as I have already wasted my 7 months with WES.
