Hi all :( :(

I have been in HK for 2 months in 2007 and 4 months in 2008. Yesterday i wasn't aware that they have changed the rule for PCC so in my explanation letter i only said i did not live outside of Canada for more than 6 months continuously. Until this afternoon i rechecked the police check they have modified on 2016-4-13 that they need all the countries PCC which you have stayed for more than 6 months in the past 10 years. On my cover letter i mentioned something about HK PCC need CIC's instruction but not on my actual police cert explanation letter. Anyone can suggest me what to do please? HK does not have upfront PCC as we need to wait fot CIC's instruction but i sent a case specific enquiry with an updated explanation letter. Is there anything else i can do or should i just prepare for rejection and redo my profile again?

Thank you so much!

Oh, no, sorry to hear that, just a few hours too late. :( Very slim chance they will consider, as they are very strict about the PCC requirement. Usually the LoE has to be in the PCC slot. Just hope you got a very lenient support agent.

yea i have prepared for the worst already. I have also called and emailed OOPNP this afternoon in regards to this matter. They told me if i really get returned i need to write a formal letter, letter of rejection new EE profile and they can extend PNP for me.

Well at least that gives me piece of mind for now and hopefully i get a nice officer who is willing to take a look at my second LOE through CSE or they just send me a request to go get HK PCC as they canot be provided upfront anyways
