HELP! Reside in different place to work

Hello! Regarding the PNP program. My family and I are wanting to reside in BC but my husband works in the mining industry and will most likely have a fly in fly out job. Under this program are we allowed to reside in BC being our nominated province but hubby flying to another province for work? Does that make sense? With his line of work in Australia he moves around from mine to mine in different states. Thanks!

Don’t you have PR? What stream for PNP because most require job offers. It says your NOC is 7271 so you have a job offer now in mining.

We did have PR back in 2014 but we had to return to Australia and now they have now expired. We didnt stay long enough to keep the PR unfortunately. So now we must do the whole process again which is painful.

so with the above NOC what visa would my husband be able to apply for?

Oh and my husband now works in mining (he is still a carpenter by trade but mining is his full time job)

So what province do you have PNP for? You need to reside in the province you have PNP for. So for example, you received PNP in Saskatchewan. You need to move there and show you have tried to and couldn’t find a job.

So for PNP you need a nomination. You need to see what provinces you are even eligible for as some require job offer, some specific NOC, some certain CRS score, or some have their own points system. You have to live in the province you have the PNP. You mention BC PNP which requires a job offer, so assume you are the principal applicant. So if your spouse flying in and out that would not be an issue.

Thank you. I would not be the principal applicant my husband would be. So maybe the PNP might not work for me as most mining work is outside of BC. Thanks you for your info.
