Congratulations!

If you haven't already done so, and your wife is over the age of 28, you may want to begin updating 'Schedule A' in particular the section on former addresses. Although the document says from the age of 18 or the last 10 years, Havana does require everything from the age of 18 no matter what. It seems to be a standards at this office. They requested this from me about a week after the transfer happened.

Again, congratulations! :D
Hi, I got my letter of confirmation for sponsor my wife from La Habana last Friday (Feb 27), and that the file has been transfer to VO in Habana. This morning I got an email directed to my wife but was addressed to mi stating this "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/11/19" does this means that started to process her application by VO in la Habana? Thanks

Yes! Her process has now begun :) if any fees or paper work are required they might request that soon and hopefully the process will take around 5 months!!

Great, thanks Krys. :)

Congrats! Does anyone have the email address for the immigration office in Havana? I was told by the CiC call center I could email them and perhaps get an update. Has anyone done that?

MY HUSBAND GOT THE CALL YESTERDAY TO GO TO THE EMBASSY ON WEDNESDAY WITH HIS PHOTOS AND PASSPORT!!!! IM STILL IN COMPLETE SHOCK!! It was so unexpected! Especially given the fact that we had all these delays in the first phase of our application process. Maybe they took that into concideration because we weren't expecting to hear from them until May or June. I did send havana an email explaining our situation and they pretty much just responded to wait so I figured they are brushing us off...maybe they did take it into concideration after all. I'm still really nervous and don't want to jinx myself but fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly on Wednesday and that my husband will be in Canada shortly after that. What an emotional roller coaster this process has been!
