Thank you. I hope there is in the mail tonight, it was sent from mississauga last Friday.
Finally I got the letter last Friday stating that I met the requirements to sponsor my wife and that the file has been transfer to VO in habana. Now just wait, I hope doesn't take that long. :)

Congratulations!

If you haven't already done so, and your wife is over the age of 28, you may want to begin updating 'Schedule A' in particular the section on former addresses. Although the document says from the age of 18 or the last 10 years, Havana does require everything from the age of 18 no matter what. It seems to be a standards at this office. They requested this from me about a week after the transfer happened.

Again, congratulations! :D

And what if they are under 28? Do you think they will still need one?

Hey guys!

Hubby was 24 when we got married. i did the schedule for his whole life practically. Even though the schedule states 10 years - they want everything! i created 2 spread sheets... the first for school the other for work.

the spread sheet looked like that one on the application but i added rows... I put in ever bit of information.

Even if he was away, no working - visiting family in another province I put month to month to account for where he was.

I had no problems with my application and wasn't asked to submit additional.

spread sheets help because you can be more orgainzed (the space they provide on application is not enough.

IF ANYONE WANTS MY TEMPLATES EMAIL ME! dorydifiore@gmail.com

Hi NewGirl,

No. As long as you went back to the age of 18 there will be no issue. My husband only gave 10 years back as per the instructions on the schedule and this is why he was asked to resubmit. My husband is 35 and he filled in the form back to the age of 25. Our lawyer said this is highly usual and there are only a few offices in the world that ask for this detail.

They would have asked you for an updated form by now if they needed it. :D

My husband also had to go back until his 18th bday, however they did not ask for it. The only way we know was that I ordered the case notes, and saw in the case notes that is was required, so we sent it. The notes were dated Sept 29, and at no point did they ever tell us we needed to send more information. I'm sure that by seeing it in the notes, it saved us at least a month of waiting.

Hey everyone - so just a quick application update. eCAS updated our permanent residency status today from "received" to "in process" and says they began processing the application on Feb 27 .

I'm so sorry you haven't heard anything yet. It is definitely a frustrating process with no clear rhyme or reason. I am sure you will hear something soon.

It's been 7 months, and ours is still "application received" and we have an interview on March 26, so ECAS is not necessarily the most up to date unfortunately.

Thanks Dory!

We are actually in a state of shock right now as things did move quickly. The embassy has requested my husband to come to the office next Wednesday with his passport. :o

Thanks for the reassurance! I just want this to be over!
