I know it's hard to stay positive. I was BEYOND crusty at the same point you are at right now. Try to focus on the positive:

1. You are technically about a month behind Dory and I so that means hubby should receive his call around the 3rd or last week of February;
2. They haven't communicated needing anything even though it does say it in the notes - your hubby has not received a call and he would've if they REALLY needed it I think;
3. Havana office is moving now that Christmas is over

I'm going out on Feb 19th to pick up my hubby and we are flying back Feb 22nd together. He is scared to fly. So cute. 8)

I just noted on your timeline that the medical was done September - I didn't realize you didn't submit it with your application. Did you notice on your notes about it going to Ottawa for approval? Mine went to Ottawa before they approved it so I'm assuming yours has to do the same. I've heard that it's a month after the medical before the results can be sent and then you have to wait for them to approve so that could slow down the process a little bit. I still believe everything is on track...it's just time. It's so hard not having control over any of it. :(

yes, i saw that the medicals were sent to ottawa and my mp confirmed it when he called ottawa last week. I'm pretty happy my mp was willing to do something, however all ottawa can say is we should hear by June because they look at aor date and processing times.

Hi Brito!!

I found it!! Thanks for the help!

I hope your process is coming along smoothly!

The medical doctor in Havana will send the completed medical report directly to immigration Canada. When your fiancé makes the appointment the office will inform him/her what to bring on the day of the appointment. There is a form that my husband took to the office, but I can't remember if they used it or not. A few things I remember the office asking him to bring included: his medical records, which listed vaccines, etc. and a few pictures. These are the same as the visa pictures (head shots).

Here are a few form numbers that may help:

Photo Specifications: 5445
Medical Report Form: IMM 1017

Have a great evening,

Quick update - I just pulled out my files and the medical form you receive directly from the doctor in Havana is call the "Upfront Medical Report" IMM 1017. The doctor gave it to him filled out. It is in English and Spanish - pretty basic with no medical information on it.

Did they at least say on the notes that they received your new Schedule A? If it makes you feel any better, there was no action on mine since September when I ordered in December.

I think everything should still be ok. Your hubby would be next in line of our group to get the call, yes?

JUSTAGIRL I think MRSHUBBY is next! I have a good feeling ;)
Fingers crossed for you!

Hi YHYY - I hope scheduling the medical went well today. My process is plugging along. It's just a waiting game - we are in standby mode. :)

Just remember - enjoy the wedding and every moment you have together. As hard as it is try not to focus on the paperwork because you do not want to miss a minute of the experience.

felicitacion!

Hi everyone, I have a doubt.. is it a good sign when it says that "medicals have been received" on ECAS? or it's irrelevant as to how more longer it's gonna take..
Thanks!

Thanks!

I received AOR September 25th and by the first or second week of October it said "medica results have been received".. It's good that it states that but it has nothing to do with receiving the visa soon

Thanks for answering. I thought it was a good sign regarding the visa.
