Track what? If you have AOR there is nothing to track for at least a year but likely longer if you look at other people’s applications.
You’re right this must have been all forms of H&C. Even if likely between 50-60k for general H&C at this point you will still have processing of 5-7+ years.

Are you sure you haven’t received AOR? Have you called IRCC? Looked at your account online? That is likely the only thing you have received but you should have AOR.
If you're looking on how to track an online application, there's two ways : call IRCC OR ask for ATIP notes. It's too early to expect any movement but you can try these options later. On the portal, it would always say submitted only and we can't track it like other applications.
Why can’t it be 5 years? Agree that there needs to be significant reforms but if you look at 2026 and 2027 the total H&C targets are around 6.5k and 4.5k and general H&C will get a fraction of that total. The math leads to 5-7+ years processing for applications filed in 2024+. What needs to happen is reform because it doesn’t make sense to have applications being processed for 5-7+ years and costs a fortune. Most likely IRCC will have to limit who can apply for H&C, limit to one H&C application especially during a certain time period and deny applications faster. We have already seen many more people be removed while waiting for H&C applications be processed while most were able to have removal put on hold during processing previously. We’ll need to see what happens under the new minister but both the H&C and asylum systems need to be reformed because wait times are out of control.
Unless she has been seeking ongoing mental health treatment and will continue to pursue mental health treatment throughout the H&C application and after refusal/approval then paying for an assessment provides minimal benefit to the H&C claim. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t do one but they should also be aware of how IRCC views these assessment and their timing and IRCC is really looking for a diagnosis of quite severe mental health issues. A very large percentage of H&C applicants claim mental health issues as grounds for their H&C claim and include often a one time assessment so the value of these assessment are diminished. There are many psychologists, social workers and even some psychiatrists who will happily get paid to do assessments for H&C applicants and asylum claimants. There seems to be a few professionals who make a large portion of their income doing these assessments and are well known by local consultant and immigration lawyers. There are many who do these assessments and claim mental health issues thinking this will guarantee H&C or at least help them significantly. Many are under the false impression that claiming mental health issues is an easy way to secure H&C. First of all the timing of these assessment is often highlighted in the JRs I read. Many only seek these assessments (and aren’t undergoing mental health treatment elsewhere) right before filing H&C or soon after filing which IRCC often highlights as being suspicious. If there is a mental health issue a diagnosis and treatment would have been accessed before filing for H&C. If there is a mental health diagnosis then there should be proof of ongoing treatment (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) throughout the H&C application as well as afterwards. There should also be proof of treatment before the filing but whether that occurred or not can’t be changed. There should also be proof that if the mental health issue is deemed severe that it has impacted the applicant’s ability to participate in normal daily activities. There should be a record of various forms of treatment accessed and often trials of different medications since finding the right medication to treat a mental health condition often involves multiple attempts and also information about access to ongoing treatment in their home country. IRCC is also looking at the severity of the mental health condition when considering the ability to access mental health treatment in a home country. Typically IRCC is assessing whether not being able to access treatment or the transition between accessing treatment in Canada and then in their home country would result in severe health outcomes and sadly often life/death consequences.
Thank you for the efforts you’ve made to support people in this forum. However, I noticed that most of the time you encouraged individuals to apply from outside Canada. Just a quick point of clarification: if someone is eligible for other immigration programs, why would they apply for an H&C application in the first place?
Please keep in mind that for most of us, H&C is the only and last option available.
