I cleared medicals today, UCI has been updated and i see the Background check status as "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

I passed my medicals too today! April 24 AOR. Looks like not many people between April 17 and 24, and hence mine was taken for processing.

Awesome..hopefully they process US Applicants atleast in par with FSW-O for the remaining stages.

Passed my medicals today! How appropriate/ironic that it happened on July 4. ;-)

67 days after AOR. Interestingly, I already had a UCI from when I studied and worked in Canada many years ago, but they gave me a new one. I thought that the UCI always stayed the same-- apparently not. Status is currently at: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

Yay!! Finally some movement.

Yes very odd... my original number had 8 digits with a hyphen and stayed the same between my student visa and work permit. Now the UCI is completely different and has 10 digits.

what was the background check messages pattern for your application? For most of us it says your application is in progress, we will send you a message when we start your background check. Was it the same for you ?

My background check status didn't change from "Not Applicable" until after I received PPR. Then it went directly to "in progress" status for not even a day before going to "complete" status. I didn't get an email when the status changed.
