Well buddy I'm working hard. The queue is long.....

Hi All. I am new to this forum and FSW, August 2013 applicant. My DD was cashed but until now I did not get PER e-mail. I have sent an e-mail to CIC office regarding my application. 27 days has passed, Still no reply. Is there any why to know about my application's status? Please suggest....

Is there any way to know that How many files are waiting at SVO? As I remember, previously someone shared a database containing the pending files under SVO for all categories.

We hope that SVO will start working from Tomorrow and we will hear some good news within this January. Also from other VOs like LVO, Kingston etc.

Those who already got MR/PPR/VISA can check the below website, which I found from another forum and previously posted here. I am posting again for your information.

Some experienced/Senior forum members are talking about "Short Courses" to enter to the Canadian Job Market just after landing. What type of short courses do we need to complete as a "2174- Computer programmers and interactive media developers"? Can we start these courses before landing to Canada?

Actually this waiting is very frustrating for us though I'm enjoying my present Job.

Additional family information form must be filled by principle applicant and spouse

Now as a principle applicant when filling this form section A under relationship it states Applicant it is ok....

But when filling form for spouse in that cases spouse is not applicant so what to do please clarify.....

For Principle Apllicant
Name Relationship date of birth palce of birth marital status Present address
PA NAme? Applicant
Spouse or Common
law partener
mother

For SPouse
Name Relationship date of birth palce of birth marital status Present address
spouse name Applicant
Spouse or Common
law partener
mother
Father

plaese clarify for spouse form all details for spouse and principle applicant is under spouse name? right

Hey buddy,
I was filling this form for my spouse few weeks ago and I was so confused about it, i called CIC and they confirmed that on her form, she should be the applicant and I am the spouse, so that the "father", "mother", "brothers" and "sisters" will be hers. While in my form i should be the principal applicant and she is the spouse and the family members are mine. They will be able of course to tell who the principal applicant is from the rest of the forms, don't worry. I did it as they asked and sent the form, they replied afterwards confirming that everything is OK.

Is there any case where fresh bank statement has been asked by visa office along with medical or before medical?
I submitted a letter from bank, showing my current balance, along with my application. And since then, I am considering that money as 'blocked money' assuming that visa office might ask for a fresh bank statement (for last 6 months).

Does visa office normally do this?

may be... maybe not...
to be on a safer side... its better you dont utilize that money till your visa is stamped.
best of luck.
God bless :)

When can an applicant like me feel relaxed that he/she is gonna get PR...is it after getting PER from CIO Sydney...or after AOR from regional Visa Office or after Medical Request ?
As i read in forum, there are instances where people were rejected after fee encashed on grounds of "Jobs responsibilities not highlighted correctly or some family relationship document issue. :'( ???

Depends upon visa office, NDVO seems not to ask for anything, whereas an applicant from Peru informed not only was he asked for POF again, but also to explain any deposit over CAD$ 1000 (Now Imagine that!!!) .... SGVO in past years also asked for 3-6 months of statements in some cases ...

Probably you could've used the amount after submission back in May and could put back let's say from November.... but as you've kept the money Frozen anyhow till now, you shouldn't move it at this point ... !

Below documents says........

http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/b6f7c54e-ef4b-4ec1-8dde-7315e97d18eb#

FSW cases pending by SGVO: Total= 746 upto July-9, 2013.

MI-1 : 254
MI-2 : 221
MI-3+ : 240
PRE-C50 : 31

So it is possible to complete all by 2014. But different data explains different number of FSWs. Dont know which is believable actually. Hope for our best.

Processing time will be updated by 1st/2nd-week-2014. No doubt it will be 31 months for SGVO cause no MR/visa(If issued it is very very few qtn, almost niglegible) issued by SGVO from last 6 months.

Hello everyone,

Please can someone help me to clarify this situation. My first name is written in my native language on my BC, whereas I have been written my name in English throughout my school days; my passport and all other documents have my first name written in English. The spelling and pronunciation are very close to English Language, for instance: Thomas is written as Tomasi in my native language. The main concern is that I have sent in my application before a friend advise that I should have included the translation of my first name or an affidavit. Every other words or statement on my BC is written in English. I want to know if this could be a problem.

Many thanks.
