Hi guys!

newbie here, so I recently applied for EE, but my CRS score never met the minimum requirement; meron ba dito na may similar score but eventually got a PNP nomination or ITA? I learned na 400+ kasi yung cut-off ng draws right. I applied for BC PNP, pero they require a valid job offer so parang chicken and egg senario. Any advice kung ano ginawa nyo para tumaas pa score nyo.

btw, I'm here in the US on H1B, pero getting a green card is a bit of a challenge for me, plus the current administration is tightening the whole immigration process, which is why I'm looking at canada as the best alternative.

Salamat!
You may apply for PNP Nova Scotia or New Brunswick to acquire additional points. You may visit their immigration sites to know more about these streams.

Hope this helps :).

Hi. It will depend on your CRS kase pataasan ng points ang labanan so you may apply also for provincial nomination to acquire additional points.

Just see the link below to register and get yours.

Have you attempted to try to calculate your CRS score? If it falls at 430 and up, you've got a good chance: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

To increase your chances though, you may want to consider:
1. higher degree (Masters, PhD, two post-grad certs/bachelors)--- the hardest option
2. Getting no less than 7 in any of the IELTS bands (equates to CLB 9)
3. Getting provincial nomination

Best of luck!

I added some stuff below in pink! Best of luck, @OrangeLemon !

1. (I don't know if this is a dumb question, I tried reading about NOC many times but still confused so pardon me) Ano po kaya NOC niya? graduate po siya ng bachelor of science in medical technology, has 10+ years extensiperience as med tech.
-Check 3212 or 3211. You can also search thru this link. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
Her duties/job description should match with the noc description.
2. yung proof of funds po ba dapat meron na before mag gawa ng profile?
Not required. Only required after getting an invitation to apply (ITA)
If you are okay with sending me your e-mail address, I can send you a .doc file I made while we were attempting our own application. I sent it to colleagues also in the healthcare industry who are attempting the same thing.
3. and dapat po ba nasa bank na ng canada?
-Not required. Also not required na nasa bank ng canada even after ITA.
4. ma-dedetect po ba na yung ibang funds pag galing US? and pwede po kaya yun? kasi po baka daw po magkulang ang sister ko sa funds kaya if ever magpapatulong po kami sa father namin.
- After receiving ITA, reqd sya magsubmit ng latest 6mos bank statement. Dito pedeng makita na may pumasok na malaking amount from other account. But there are some applicants getting funds from parents and declaring it as gift deed. I suggest you read more on this once ITA has been received.
If these are gifts, better have them in your sibling's bank account 6 months before receiving the ITA.
5. just wondering how long will it take the process, yung pinakamabilis and pinakamatagal na process?
Varies greatly. 2 months to a year. Pag may irregularities, it can take longer. Same as my addition in #2
6. ano po kaya dapat score sa ielts? and general ielts po ba dapat?
- General. Minimum 6 on all fields. The higher the better as this will have impact on her overall score. I agree, but I would suggest to aim for not lower than 7 para CRS score bump up to the higher scores sa part C: skills transferability (CLB 9 and higher column)
thanks in advance and pardon me if these are dumb questions
- no dumb questions. Double thumbs up on this comment by @honeybee08 ! tulungan tayo, mga Kabayan! Lahat po ng nagsimulang walang alam. Basa basa lang po sa forum para mas madaling maintindihan.

Hear, hear! Volatile politics in the USA as of the moment.

Good luck with the attempt! Try looking at the CRS grid again: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp
Figure out if where you can still increase your score: 1. IELTS bands should not be less than 7 to get CLB 9 (this increases the score in part c: skills transferability drastically), higher degree or two bachelors/post secondary degrees (masters, PhD, etc), or PNP

Officially they claim it can be processed in 3 weeks. I have gone to a branch and due to REASONS (new system, reconcile records from all my previous employers which is just 2 btw), it might take until January 2018, assuming I complete and pass the reqts this month (Oct). I would have left already then for Canada, so I'm also processing an SPA for my representative to claim the cheque. Oh well. :)
thanks a lot for the update @arthurmr :)

Hi if ur score only reach 390 no chance?
Don't lose hope! 386 ako and received Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario so I applied through their Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). That was the only week that they sent out NOIs for <400 CRS for IT jobs. Might be good to research which province has a high demand in your work experience

Hi! I'm done with IELTS. I have a question about WES and IQAS for ECA. Based on research as of 2017 (in this forum and other fora), WES awards a 2 year equivalency to a 4 year bachelor's degree in the Philippines (degree earned from DLS-College of Saint Benilde). Is there a member in this forum who happened to have his/her ECA assessed under IQAS as of 2017 (for 4 yea bachelor's degree) and what was the result? 2 year equivalency or 3 year bachelor's equivalency? Maraming salamat po sa tulong at impormasyon!

Good evening fellow Pinoys,

I just want to ask what's a reliable freight forwarding company to ship personal effects from the Philippines to Canada (Toronto in particular)?

Sorry medyo out of place ang tanong ko, if you can re-direct me to a more relevant forum, please let me know. Thank you.

I'm a BS Comp Eng'g Grad the Philippines (5-year program) and got my Canadian equivalency of a 4-year program from WES. I didn't answer your IQAS question but in my opinion, there's a possibility that WES may equate your 4-year program to a 3-year Canadian equivalent depending on the courses on your curriculum and how they map together.

Got my WES ECA. BS CompSci San Sebastian College Manila and it got assessed to a 2 Yr. Diploma. I guess it is a case-to-case basis.

Hi if ur score only reach 390 no chance?
Don't give up! You can apply for a provincial nomination or re-sit the IELTS and aim for a higher score (try no less than 7.0 sa lahat ng test para Canadian Language Benchmark of 9).
