Just to give sharing from experience to those who would be doing their medicals.
We just had our medicals with Nationwide here in Makati last October 26.

Share ko lang mga tips para di masyado hassle sa inyo:

- If possible come on a Wednesday or Thursday. Start of the week is usually busy....especially if it came from a long weekend/holiday (just like us). Inabot kami whole day waiting
- Do not bring extra companion when going there..they would not be allowed inside
- If you have major operations/diagnosis/conditions before and you plan to disclose them, it is best to secure medical certificate from your doctor before going for medical. Para di na kayo babalik pa. The medical certificate should contain the following information:

1) Complete details of the current clinical status of the applicant
2) The history of onset, treatment, progression, and complication of the disease
3) Copies of reports of any relevant investigation necessary to determine the etiology, specific diagnosis stage or remission of the disease
4) The current treatment plan
5) The specialist's opinion on the prognosis of the condition and the individual's future treatment / management requirement
6) No reference regarding medical admissibility to Canada
7) Embassy requires TYPEWRITTEN reports
8) Reports lacking the pertinent details listed above will cause delay or a referral to an embassy-accredited specialist
9) The immigration medical officer of the country concerned may still request for additional information or investigation

- For those with kids, bring coloring books or any other activities they could do seated

For now eto lang po muna...

Hope this helps

Thanks in Advance! Will keep that in mind kapag medical na namin. However, I have a few questions about Nationwide, do you have to schedule an appointment prior to the medical exam? Also, can you pay via credit card?

Thanks

Hi pfcastelo,

No need to schedule an appointment. Its a walkin process. Make sure your photographs are taken within the last 6 months and i suggest you photocopy the letter you received for your own records as the original would have to be submitted to them.

I am not so sure if credit card is accepted. We paid in cash.

Good luck

I think its treated as child sponsorship it my child would be born here after we land for PR. I just want to know how long the process would take for the child sponsorship.

It would be better for the child to be born in Canada for sure but for us, the pregnancy is quite complicated and we are more comfortable if the doctor in PH delivers the baby thats why we opt to have the baby in Manila.

thanks for your inputs.

BM

Hi BM,

I understand your concern. I think generally giving birth here really is better because you have your support system here. The cost of giving birth there is also a factor. I'm not sure to what extent the government of Canada would support a PR bearer in terms of pregnancy but I'm guessing you would have to shell some cash as well. I guess one option you could check is getting a medical insurance that could cover the delivery even while you are in Canada. But then the post delivery would still be a challenge as it would only be the two of you.

Its a tough decision.....

Wishing you good luck! :)

anybody who received a call from this number 09228679527? thanks

I think someone already answered this question but since you addressed the question to me, I'll go ahead and answer it just the same.

Question 1. NBI is enough. But you have to ensure that the purpose is VISA Canada.
Question 2. Based on previous replies, you have to secure a police clearance from the country that you stayed for more than 6 months. Hindi kasi namin ginawa ito, i hope na may makasagot sa mga applicants na gumawa nito. ;D

Thank you so much po.
