We plan to land in BC and stay at our friend's rental in Abbotsford. Hopefully, we can find good work there otherwise, we're willing to transfer to any place where there's work for us.

Does the invitation to COA come with the visa? Can we register for COA without the invitation? We want to get it over with as soon as possible.

yes it will be included in ur visa package. you can register by emailing them... check the email at manila.gc.ca, look for the pre-departure seminars section. We were scheduled today but due to the bad weather we cancelled it. Next available dates are: Oct 27 and Nov 3..

Hey, I got an email already from Canadian embassy that they are ready to issue my visa and wants my passport already. I guess this is it right?
That was fast I got my medicals September 24. Yey. Thanks everyone for helping me

not yet. our agent sent our application forms to CIIP last august but i still havent got anything to confirm my application/request for a seminar was granted. we wouldlove to attend that so we'll wait nalang. anyways, how long did u wait for them to reply to ur application request? i emiiled them once to ask if they received the application form which my agent sent them.. its more than 3 weeks and still no response

you need an affidavit to explain the discrepancy. Hindi ko lang alam kung gaano kakumplikado ang procedure because it may be as simple as an explanation letter na ipanonotaryo mo... some kind of a sworn statement... to a more complicated procedure wherein you need a lawyer's assistance. Check threads related to your situation or you may create a new topic to solicit some pieces of advice.

fortunately for me, i dont need be assessed by iqas. SRNA do their own assessment of the applicants You're registering for manitoba, right? ask maharlika, she's applying to manitoba and she's required of iqas din...

I just called IOM to register and I am tentatively registered for Nov 3, provided our visas arive before that date.

It took us about 2 months from when I sent my application to CIIP before I finally got a schedule. I takes that long because their schedules are not regular, they just renovated their office and they are upgrading from Canadian Immigration Integration Project to Canadian Immigration Integration Program with a different set of modules to be used.

It helped that I called and visited their office to get a schedule.
