Hi All,

Just got my first AOR from CIO and I'm currently gathering the necessary docs for submission to Manila Visa Office.
However, it seems that the Visa Office Specific Instructions (Manila) for Skilled Workers have been updated in June 2010 (not sure though, just saw IMM 7025 E (06-2010) in the bottom part of the form that I've just downloaded). Should I follow this updated one already, even though I have submitted my initial application to CIO Nova Scotia on March 2010 and received by them in March 2010 also??

Because, I've noticed there have been differences in the requirements such as for example:
a) For Transcripts under Education/Training/Qualification:
> per IMM 7025 E (10-2009) I've downloaded before: Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.
> But as per IMM 7025 E (06-2010) I've just downloaded now: Transcripts: certified true copies of transcripts of all degrees.

b) For Identity and Civil Status Documents:
> per IMM 7025 E (10-2009) I've downloaded before: It is clearly stated that CENOMAR must be provided in all cases.
> but as per IMM 7025 E (06-2010) I've just downloaded now: I can't see any note that a CENOMAR should be submitted.

I am single and I am not sure whether I should still submit a CENOMAR.

I just want to be sure that I'll be submitting complete and correct docs to the Manila Visa Office.

Appreciate your assistance regarding this.

Kung hindi pa kayo nakaprepare ng docs as per old requirements, just follow the new instructions. Kung meron na, combination na lang, whichever you believe will be most helpful. Maige na sobra isubmit kesa kulang.

It would not hurt if you'll still submit a CENOMAR dahil iprove nito lalo na single ka nga at lalo na kung malabo ang NSO birth Certificate mo (gaya ng sa amin), nasa CENOMAR ang mga important details of your identity na di hamak na mas madaling basahin kesa BC.

Yung TOR, pwede ka request ng CAV sa school mo for authentication sa DFA. Andun na lahat ng certified copies (diploma, TOR) pati ang certificate of graduation. Or you may opt to request certified copies then ipanotaryo mo na lang. (I chose the first option). Kung meron ka na nasa sealed envelope, ok na rin isubmit yun or just keep it for future use.

hi. my family applied last july 2005 and received our aor august 2005. ask ko lang wen nyo received ang aor or acknowledgement receipt nyo? my husband is engr by profession and i am a banker. still waiting for the update of docs. thank you.

hi reyes! ngaun lang ako nagreply senxa na.. just got back from baguio mas mabilis provincial nominee pero mas better as FSW nalang para hindi xa limited dun sa province,.. puwede xa magwork kahit saan except quebec. mas mabilis manila so dito nalang. meron ako kilala sa london pero nagfile xa sa manila...

sorry for the late reply. I think someone has already answered your question about the international driver's driver's license. 3 months lang ang validity nun eh. Dito pa din ako pinas, husband ko pa lang ang nauna na dun with a working visa. We are waiting either our application as immigrants which is now 5 years & 4 months or yung family sponsorship ng husband ko. kasi by october pwede na sya mag apply ng PR, then pwede na nya kami petition. you are so lucky kasi mabilis yung sa inyo. nakaka frustrate na nga mag hintay eh san ka ba mag land?

hi Gico thanks ha. yup sabi nga nila 3 months lang kaya dun nalang ako kukuha.. pero unti-unti ako nag aaral dito para d ako maxado mahirapan, mahal din kasi dun driving school plus sayang ung time mas better mag apply nalang husband mo ng PR, mabilis naman tapos puwede pa niya kau isama agad. sa vancouver intial landing ko, sana maraming work or else lilipat ako toronto. haha. kau?

Hi imbubbles. Sorry but di k alam kung ano and PDOS, CIIP, COA. Is that for nursing registration? Anyway, since licensed ako dito sa California and dito din ako nagaral. Recognized ng B.C. lahat and they will issue my registration na so pagdating k doon I can immediately practice as a nurse. I plan to get there by Oct. 8. According to L.A., it takes 3 weeks for visa stamping. Sana one day we can meet up in Surrey. Keep in touch.

yup i promise tyo keep in contact PDOS is the seminars that we need to attend before going to canada.. im not sure about people coming from the USa if theyre still required to attend that Sana wala ring bridging program sakin.. that would cost a lot plus the effort and time. Goodluck ha!

thanks for your reply. nainterview na po ba kayo? sabi kasi ng iba, baka di magrant ng visa or baka mareject kasi mas gusto ng canada na buong pamilya ang mag migrate, if magtanung sila "why are your kids not accompanying you to canada" at kung isasagot ko sa ganitong tanung ay due to insufficient funds(which is a common reason), mukhang babagsak kami kasi that would only show na we cannot stay long in canada kasi wala kaming pera tlaga. para pong baligtad ang magiging case ko sa inyo ksi sa simula pa lang di ko na isasama kids and hubby pero i will declare them sa application ko na immedate family members sila but they are not accompanying family members para 550 lang babayaran ko kasi ako lang yong principal applicant. Then before the interview i will make some changes, sasabihin ko na they will accompany me para lang mapakita ko sa visa officer na buong family na kaming magmigrate. salamat po ulet sa sino pong interested na sumagot sa question ko, pls. enlighten me.

Ganito ginawa namin ng wife ko,pag lodge namin ng application lahat kami together with my 4 sons then after pag request ng full documents ng CIO nag filed kami ng affidavit and letter of not accompanying ang mga bata,kasi nga malaki ang seatlement fund,ayos naman nag refund ang CIO sa share ng 4 na anak ko,. waiting nalang kami sa Passport request.

for mr/ms barok: i have another question po:is your application under "after June 29, 2010" or "prior to June 29, 2010?" so you paid 550 (2x-you and your wife) + 150 (x4 kids)=1700 cnadian dollars when you submitted your docs to CIO? then later you declared that you're no longer bringing your kids to canada, you mean they refunded 600 dollars? did i get it right?

No. Kung wala ka sa 29 occupations, pwede pa rin mag-apply under:
1. arranged employment, OR
2. provincial nominee, OR
3. Quebec skilled worker.
