Hello everybody, I received 2nd AOR last March 29, 2010 it was (nba) after the immigrationn file number. Wen I followed up after 45th day of receipt, I received acknowlegment that my application still on queued for review by Visa Officer and the initial was (fes) after the immigration file number.

Tabs, thank you for the info.. yup im aware na they cannot refuse if its an emergency, i'm a nurse by profession, pero hindi kasi nakalagay dun na hindi ka nila pwede singilin after manganak ng asawako... hindi ko alam kung may charity ward or something sa canada na minimal lang ang babayaran, from wat i heard, CAN$7,000 ung normal delivery, eh CS pa asawa ko, hiniram ko lang yung proof of funds ko, mahirap naman magsimula sa utang... anyway, i'll ask around din kung papano, gusto ko sana dun na manganak asawa ko, baka kasi matagalan yung pag aayos ng papers ng new baby ko... thanks!

We have almost the same case. 3 months pregnant wife ko when we had our medical exam last Sept. 2009. In nov. 2009, I received phone call from visa office, confirming if preferred ba namin na dun manganak wife ko or not. kasi if we prefer na dun manganak, they will finalize our application before wife's due date. We opted na after delivery na lang, so ang nangyari, na-defer application namin & we have to submit application for additional dependent. I just submitted the requirements for my newborn nitong 1st week of May. Yesterday, I received a phone call again from visa office informing me that they are preparing the medical request & that I should expect to receive it next week. As I see it, mejo matatagalan nga mag-ayos ng papers for newborn, particularly yung lead time sa pagkuha ng birth certificate coz yun ang reason kung bakit natagalan ang submission ko ng docs for newborn.

I'm from metro manila lang. kung nagmamadali ka, mas ok kung dun na manganak. yun nga lang, after 3months pa yung health insurance. pero i think there are places na pwede ka na maka-avail ng insurance the moment you land. In our case kasi, 1st time parents kami & la kami relatives in canada, kaya we opted na dito na lang manganak wife ko.

As for the proof of funds, yeah, they have requested for an update, we were asked to show proof of funds for a family of 3 (included na ang newborn). kasama din yun sa sinubmit ko nitong May.

ah ok. we're planning to land in Toronto. Nope, di binigay yung Visa kasi considered as one application lang yun. Kung i-opt namin na kunin na yung visa, di makakasama sa application yung baby. I think ang mangyayari nun, separate application na yung sa baby & under sponsorship na ata.

18-05-10 - Medical forms on hand
19-05-10 - Pre med
21-05-10 - Medical & Physical Exam done...sana wala na follow up
22-05-10 - another waiting period starts

Done meds at Nationwide this morning. It took only 2 hours 8am to 10am. Physical exam includes eye/reading examination, height and weight measurement, interview and physical examination(visual inspection and lung auscultation) by the resident doctor. Medical examination includes urinalysis, blood extraction, and x-ray.

hi all hingi lang sana ako ng advise regarding FSW

i'm an electronics engineer by profession, 8yrs work experience. i have a day-job M-F 8-6PM.

we have a family business, a small restaurant (dine-in lugawan, lutong-ulam, meryenda), it is a registered business and my brother is the registered owner and cook, ako yung co-owner nung restaurant and i oversee the operations after my day-job mga 6-10pm ako nasa resto then weekends almost whole day ako nagmamanage dahil yung kapatid ko ang cook.

i also have experience as a service crew in jollibee when i was studying in college pero over 10years ago na yun.

my brother is now in canada nakuha sya as provincial nominee and is now working in a restaurant.

by the way my brother is an HRM graduate, may experience din as crew sa isang famous burger stall for like more than 5 years, and nag-take sya ng mga short-courses sa mga hotels (baking, etc.)

and i believe all of it, including yung experience nya as resto owner and cook is na-credit as skilled work kaya sya nakuha sa canada.

now my question is, can i be able to use the experience i had dun sa family resto namin at ma-credit sya as equivalent part-time job as a resto or food service manager?

if i apply in FSW, will the embassy or CIC think na ang talagang trabaho ko ay engineer at hindi food service manager?

your advice will be greatly appreciated!
