I have sent my additional documents on 23rd of may. after reopening my file VO has asked for updated forms, PCC, POF n 3 copies of photos. How long it might take to get a reply? program manager has accepted the mistake and assigned my file to a new VO. New VO has asked for those additional documents. my application status has been changed into in process from DM but inside the content didn't change. Confused??? can nyone suggest me?

It is doubtful anyone can give you much guidance here - very few applicants are refused and of those who ARE refused, very few are granted a second chance by the program manager - so you are now in a rare situation. However, it would seem that it would take 2-4 months after they receive those new documents to review them and move your application along to the next stage.

In the end, you will only know the answer by waiting until it happens. I know that is not what you want to hear.

are there any such cases where people got visa after reopening the file? or they have just done it for show off?

Actually, I would expect that you will get better than normal service, because your application has already been screwed up once. If they were to refuse it again on anything other than solid grounds, it would just be fodder for judicial review.

thx buddy. Hope this time it'll be a fair judgement n i'll get a positive reply. fingers crossed.

Please share your VO name

Robert Stevenson is not a visa officer. He is the first secretary. He has assigned my file to a new VO. i donno the name.

your file has been reopened and now you have to wait for the next decision. sometimes they ask for additional documents, sometimes they directly send the MR.

Re: Common questions

I have an employer in Calgary, Canada which i found via Getfloral jobs at the internet websites. They replied to my application as a Florist and they told me that they have forwarded my resume to a consulting firm in Vancouver,B.C..The consulting firm contacted me via email and told me that i should pay $550 as good faith deposit and $2250 for the work permit application. The employer will shoulder the $2250 fee for the LMO application.

Is this legal? Anybody who could answer my inquiry will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Pls help me What i do

Hi,

This is to inform you that, I am an applicant for P R of Canada.

Few days back I had check my status on file Number, then the Status was as bellow.

# We received your application for Permanent resident on November 18, 2010.
# We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 3, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
# Your application was reviewed and started processing on May 3, 2012"

But since that I did not receive any letter from immigration office and when I check again today my status On file Number there is such as no record in this file number, but my another old file number which I had canceled for my personal issue that is still alive and showing these following status:

# We received your application for permanent residence on April 26, 2010.
# We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on July 27, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
# A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

This is highly appreciable where is my latest status and also about the latter which was sent from end May 3, 2012.
