Hello Guys,

I have taken the IELTS exam and also got my WES credentials evaluation done and my CRS score is 438 right now and I am currently single but will be getting married in September and with my spouse points my CRS score remains same.
Therefore, when would be the best time to create my Express Entry Profile? Now or post marriage?
Your help will be appreciated.

Thank you and Warm Regards!
Better u can create your Profile in EE post marriage only, because, u definitely get a additional score on adaptability basis.

Hello Members,

I have already submitted my Express Entry profile. I am unable to understand the score system of education section. I have done MBA in Finance after Bachelor's degree ofcourse ( I should get score for MBA and for Bachelor's both) is it correct??? I have received the ICAS assessment as well for my education credentials. Please help...
If i'm right, they only consider the highest Qualification only.

Mr. Friend,

I hope without Surname there is no passport will be issued. u must be understand firstly, ( First name and given name is same / Last name and surname is same).
Thanks for replying friend.. But my name is only "Shubhdeep" and it is in given name(s) column. That's why such query.. Anyways found answer on CIC website as follows
"
What do you mean by surname?
Your surname is your family name. It is also called your “last name.” When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document.

Do not use initials.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter“Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
I have CRS score of 453 and CLB9 in IELTS and waiting for WES ECA result. i have couple of questions i want to ask. 1) I have lazy eye from birth and very less vision in one eye and my other eye is perfectly fine. Will it cause any problem for medical test for PR? I was able to procure driving license in USA. I heard canada govt increased the threshold limit. 2) I stayed in US for some time, and overstayed on my visa for few months and i left on my own. Will it cause any problem? 3) I have a credit card debt (small amount) which went to collections in USA, i was going through a lot of hardships at that time and could not pay back. I am residing in India, Will it cause any problems for my PR process? Appreciate your response!! Thank you!

Hello Dear

Can anyone advise me ,I have made a profile once and has got invitation to apply for ontario PNP ,however at that time my French language test was below CLB 7 .so, I didn't met their requirements.

I have thereafter sat again to improve my scores, which was perfect and met this time the requirements for ontario PNP. However, Since now in my new express entry profile I have not receive invitation to apply.

Can you advise me what to do please.

Hi,

I have a B.A. English honors, obtained via correspondence, from School of open learning, Delhi University.

It's a 3-year degree, and has been accredited by WES as such. It's Canadian equivalency is 3-year bachelor’s degree.
Few questions -

a) Would this degree work for FSW express entry?

b) I read somewhere that one needs to show 17-19 hours of classes taken per week for such degree. Is this true?

Anything else that needs to be done differently for a correspondence degree?

Thanks a bunch.

Hello guys!

Have 2 years of continuous work experience under NOC B, and another 7 and 8 months of experience under the same NOC not continuous as you can tell. Will this be counted as 3 years of work experience for CRS?
Thanks!
