Express Entry Step by step instructions.

Hello everyone,

I need some information regarding my permanent residence application under the Express Entry – Federal Skilled Worker Program. I am currently at the final stage of the process. I do not live in Canada, and IRCC asked me to submit my passport and photos to the Visa Application Centre, which I did on December 2, 2025.

My concern is that I may get married in the coming months.

My questions are as follows:

- If everything goes well and I receive my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR), is it possible to inform IRCC after my marriage that my marital status has changed and that I would like to move to Canada with my husband, assuming this is still before I travel to Canada?

- Is there a risk that IRCC could cancel my application if I notify them that my marital status has changed after they have already issued my Confirmation of Permanent Residence?

Yes paid in cash can be an issue. So you need to show salary slips, taxes paid and bank statements.

Thank you very much for your kind reply, Yes, my hospital provides me payslips which I can submit and also i can submit my income tax documents but how what I will show in my bank statement to IRCC as I do not receive my salary in my bank account?

I received my PPR on November 7, and I submitted my passport to VFS Lagos on November 10. On November 11, I got a notification that it had been sent out, but since then, I haven't received any updates. Please note that I renewed my passport, so it's different from the one I used to apply. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?. It’s been 4 weeks now since I submitted.
