Today I received passports with visas and COPR for the whole family. Aramex delivered the package in the morning and I have to pay AED 30/-

Thanks to Almighty ALLAH.

Thanks to all of my family and friends for their prayers and continues support. It was a long journey spanning over 2 years and 7 months.

My timelines is:

Application: April 2011

In Process: January 2012

Updated Documents (Schedule A+ PCC): June 2013

MR: 5 September 2013

Medical Done: 12 September, sent by DMP on 16 September

Medical Received on ECAS: 20 September

PPR: 17 October 2013

Passport received by LVO: 29 October 2013

Visa issued: 5 November 2013

Passport received with visa: 12 November 2013

My prayers and best wishes are with all those who are waiting for medical or for PPR. I know this wait is very painful and I myself went through all this. Keep yourself busy in life and soon you will have what you are waiting for, it is just a matter of time.

Please help me that I got visa, but still seven months balance to land in Canada so n between I got an good offer in Dubai itself double salary when compare my present salary; I thought of joining the new company at-least for six months that I can earn some money before landing Canada.

please advise... the employer will accept..?

I also got the medical request on 29.10.2013. we have booked an appointment for medial examination on 30-nov-13. Can you please guide me how can i add timeline to my profile . I tried adding in the profile but there is no option to edit. also, on an average how much time it takes for the passport request after medical examination is done?

First of all, I congratulate you for getting Canadian PR.
It would be great if you continue to share your ideas/decisions for settlement -

i.e whats ur profession, which province have u selected for settlement, how would you deal with all the stuff in Dubai (whether u will sell it or ship it to canada), how will you find your accomodation..

I feel, this would be great for all of us.

Dear Muru

Greetings!

I feel, if you tell your new employer about your plans, they will not take you on board for sure. Moreover, 6 months is mostly the minimum probation period. So you have two options -

1. Dont tell the employer about you plans, and work hard and contribute to the companies growth in 7 months, so that employer should not be at loss after 7 months. ( no harms, everybody does it)

2. Continue with the current job (ethically correct).

kindly note these are only my personal view, without offending any other's idea.

I strongly advise you not to join any company for six months for saving money. Especially in Dubai.
Living cost is very high and life is not that easy as it looks…Too many procedures….

However if you want to join here then better you do landing in Canada first and give address of your relative/friend in Canada for the PR Cards.

Then come to Dubai for at least two years to save something and still I don’t know your family size !!
I am in UAE now almost 13 years and can guide you on living cost and problems

Don’t worry in few days time you will be able to edit the profile as system on this website does not allow this feature for the beginners.
Any ways congrats on MR and when you applied? And what is your timeline

thanks for your reply; we thought of landing Calgary in may 14. my wife and two daughters with me... my wife is PA seeking for better career in pharma marketing and myself looking for logistics/purchase/inventory jobs that I have more than 12 years experienced in Dubai with MBA logistics..

Medical records are sent directly by the clinic we went to in Dubai. Be sure to carry your passport for identification and 4 PP pix. Look your best as they will take a pic as well. LOL. I received the notification for medical on email, but a letter arrived a couple of days later asking for a current date Police Clearance certificate from UAE and a fees of CAD 480 each for me and spouse. Waiting with bated breath for further action.
