my medical expired in april,i sent e-mails to high commission,pp submitted 10 months ago,still in process,no reply from them

please share your timelines. My situations is same as yours. My medicals are getting expired on 25/06/2014

Here 's a quick reply from the Ministry after I wrote to Cris Alexander

"Our records indicate that visa officials at the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi are conducting background verification checks on your application. Please be assured that visa officials will contact you should additional information, documentation or a personal interview is required."

Whatever might be, atleast heard something from them, but then, I am surprised why security checks after medicals received line updated in ECAS

It has been 4 years and 6 months with me and still waiting even after re-medicals.

They have kept my passport for more than a year now. This is ridiculous. I am going to ask them if they can't process quicker, I need my passports back.

Hi Jack,
My humble advise is to wait. Don't pressurise them by sending mails. They will sent you the PP back without stamping, if you irritate them. That was the case with me. I think my mails have irritated them and they returned my passport. So be carefull while senting mails to CIC/NDVO.

I am also waiting since long. medicals expire in july 14 how much to wait. pl. tell some one as to wjhat is their (CIC) criteria for few waiting

Dear friends,

I am also waiting from May 2010.
My friend who applied with me is already in Canada.
I had added spouse, when medical request has come..Also had travelled to Singapore.
These might have caused delay in processing my application- I think so.
