Ordered my notes 2 weeks ago. Hoping they'll shed insight on the delay, but somehow I'm excepting them to be blank.

Mine were blank...
23rd December AOR
30th Dec GCMS ordered
11th Jan, they accessed my file
27th Jan They sent me GCMS (It was totally blank, no movement since aor)

Now 27th Jan, I ordered new GCMS, probably the same time as urs - will see what happens... As per the calls, my file is processed at Sydney, NS CIO - not sure what it is doing there!

When you called, what did you ask specifically to get them to tell you where it was being processed?

Many things.... Somehow pushed to reveal the info!

They normally dont have any objection in providing info about the file! I asked them that in case if I move, where should I report? Is my file already at a visa office or checked at Ottawa? etc etc

She said the medical is checked at Ottawa but for other checks, it goes to NS office and after that it will be assigned to a visa office to do the BG check etc!

After playing around, if you use *67 before the number it works. Such a stupid thing though; it's an immigration call center. Surely they realize that most of the people who will be calling will be *gasp* from outside of Canada. *insert eyeroll*

I spoke with a CIC agent this morning and thought I'd share a few things:

- All FWS applications are processed in Sydney, Nova Scotia
- If you don't receive news within the first 3 weeks of submitting your application, it's typically a good sign.
- Most applications submitted after the middle of December have not be processed for US applications (yes, there is a backlog here). For my case his response was, "it's here but hasn't been processed yet. Don't panic because this is normal for US applicants."

Now that's something new! Line number 2 - we need more explanation Mgnlky....

If we dont receive news within the first 3 weeks then how is it a good sign? THat simply means they have gone through at least 1 check.... But the third line says it has not been processed!!!

The way he made it sound is there is usually an initial check done soon after submitting to verify completeness (which explains why my 1st application was rejected as incomplete after about 2 1/2 weeks). For anyone worried they might have forgotten to attach/include something, it's a good sign. I believe when he said "processed," he was referring to medical and so on.

Anyone with an AOR DEC 1-10 got any updates besides medicals and BG NN ? I'm just patiently waiting for updates and want to see if there any progress in early DEC applications from US

along with medicals passed my BG went NN->NS

I got same thing NN to NS next day after medicals passed. Looking at Nov AOR tracker - looks like 60-70 percent on that list got PPR already, among US applicants there couple of them got PPR as well, my hopes are high, but i don't know if there is backlog now due to high volume of ITA's issued recently.
Ordered GCMS notes couple days ago, will see what's going on when i have them.

68 Days.No medical update yet.
One question if ottatwa process the medicals why only USA applicants are getting delayed.
