Looking for advice on inland vs outland finalization for PR
I am the primary applicant under Inland PNP and currently in Canada on a work permit. My application tracker just turned fully green and I expect final decision soon.
My spouse was originally listed as outland and normally resides outside Canada. However, my spouse is currently in Canada for about a month.
I am trying to decide between two options
Option 1
Wait for PPR for spouse and complete passport stamping outside Canada
Option 2
Submit a webform now to inform IRCC that spouse is in Canada and request inland landing through PR Portal for both applicants
My main concern is timing since the stay in Canada is limited to about a month
Has anyone been in a similar situation
• Did switching to inland at this stage cause any delay
• How long did IRCC take to issue portal emails after background was completed
• Is it safer to just proceed with PPR instead of requesting a change
Any recent experiences or timelines would help
